I was thinking of watching Superman when the time came, and could do so now if I wanted, but the whole Netflix buying WB thing has me doubting whether I should.
I do have Netflix, but if they are going to restrict every future WB movie or show to Netflix release and never theaters or DVD, then if they decide to purge it, it's gone, mockingbird slain. Even if future films are MCU quality (like Phase 1-3 MCU, not Post Endgame other than some of its gems), I will want to be able to rewatch my favorite films whenever I want, and if I either lose my Netflix or it gets purged, that's it. That's why, if I enjoy it enough to always want to rewatch it, I always get them on DVD when possible.
Already I am paranoid about Sailor Moon Eternal getting purged. I had to watch the first three Twilights to make that film both get dubbed and satisfy including leaving the deaths of Xenotime and Zeolite and Queen Nehelenia intact, and those were awesome, it was everything I was hoping for and the perfect finale to Crystal (no, I'm not acknowledging Cosmos), but as it was released only on Netflix it didn't get a DVD release and I'm so paranoid about purging it just like Glitter Force got purged. And thus if I really enjoy any DCU films, that the same could happen there. At least I have the Burtonverse Batman films on DVD, and Batman: Hush, and Seasons 1-4 of The Flash.
