We might get a trilogy of Justice League films of sorts in a three-year span.
The first of these films isn't technically a Justice League film, but it would serve as the set up for one: World's Finest. With Batman: The Brave and the Bold being written right now, a 2028 release is likely. So with that in mind, since Gunn is writing something Superman related that's not Superman 2, it could be World's Finest, which would release in 2029. This film would feature Batman, Superman, and Robin. They could realize the need for a team of heroes after fighting some villain, leading into the next film releasing in 2030, Justice League. This film would feature half a dozen or so members of the JL fighting the U.S. government, led by Amanda Waller. Her team could feature characters from Creature Commandos, Waller, Peacemaker, the Bane/Deathstroke film, and the Authority fighting the League. So kind of a mix of Absolute Power and the Injustice League/Legion of Doom. Lex could play a part, maybe as President. This would tie up that side of the DCU. And the next film is the big one, the Endgame-level crossover releasing six years from now (2031), another Justice League movie. I have no idea who the villain would be, as Waller would have been defeated in the last movie. My theory is New Frontier with Grodd added. This film would feature the League, the Teen Titans, and multiple other heroes. This would conclude Chapter One and would be the third film of this unofficial trilogy. What do you think?
