The A.R.G.U.S. Headquarters is a facility of the government agency A.R.G.U.S., located in Evergreen, Washington, that serves as its headquarters in the region.
History[]
Rick Flag, Sr.'s Promotion[]
In Fall 2024, Rick Flag, Sr. was promoted to director of A.R.G.U.S. and brought to the organization's headquarters. He was given a tour by John Economos, who tried to appeal to Flag. Once in Flag's office, he turned to Economos and requested the files on the death of his son, which had previously been classified to him. Economos was hesitant, wanting Flag to understand how complicated the day of his son's death was and that actions taken were under Amanda Waller's orders, but Flag got frustrated and demanded the file.
Flag read the file later that night and got emotional upon learning that Peacemaker was the one who killed his son. Flag left his office and went to Sasha Bordeaux, asking for Peacemaker to be monitored consistently. Bordeaux noted that Peacemaker was supposed to have been considered in good standing with A.R.G.U.S. due to his involvement in stopping the Butterfly Invasion, but Flag insisted on Peacemaker being monitored anyway before walking away from Bordeaux's desk.[1]

Eight months later, Sasha Bordeaux detected a second dimensional anomaly coming from Chris Smith's house, and called John Economos to confirm that he was seeing it too from his mobile watch of Smith. Bordeaux brought the call into Rick Flag, Sr.'s office and discussed the situation with him, confirming that the anomaly was similar to the one caused by Lex Luthor a month prior. Flag talked to Economos as Economos approached Smith's house and reported that Smith was hosting an orgy, which Bordeaux confirmed made sense for Smith. Economos claimed not to see anything else, leading Flag to hang up on him. As Bordeaux left his office, Flag ordered someone to watch Economos and move the situation to priority one. Despite Bordeaux's hesitation, she agreed to the order.[2]
Bordeaux assigned Langston Fleury to monitor Economos, and called him from A.R.G.U.S. Headquarters when she detected another anomaly. Bordeaux confirmed with Fleury that he was reading the anomaly as well and ordered him to wait until Economos and Smith were both away and then search the house with a team she sent him.[1]
Alternate Universes[]
Earth-2[]
In an alternate reality, the Nazis won World War II and conquered the United States, eventually placing a portrait of Adolf Hitler in A.R.G.U.S. Headquarters and circulating copies of his autobiography, Mein Kampf. Emilia Harcourt and Rick Flag, Jr. were hired at headquarters to do office work. In 2025, Chris Smith visited Harcourt, where Rick Flag Jr. confronted him until Harcourt told Flag they had personal matters to discuss. Flag observed the conversation from behind the wall of his cubicle but tripped over a trash can, revealing his intentions, as Harcourt and Smith left the room.[3]
While performing his routine security duties at the A.R.G.U.S. Headquarters reception desk, Billy saw Keith Smith and Emilia Harcourt arrive. However, the dog Eva detected an illegal substance on her, so Billy took the snowball from her to examine it. Chris Smith learned what had happened and visited Harcourt, discovering that it was the Harcourt from his dimension. Smith had an emotional conversation with Harcourt while awaiting the results. When Harcourt was discharged, she mentioned to Smith that she hadn't seen a single person of color since arriving, revealing that they were in a Nazi dimension.[4]
Billy soon saw Emilia Harcourt return wearing different clothes, which confused him. Harcourt quickly realized she was being impersonated and, searching for her double, found her talking to Smith and requesting his arrest. Smith and Harcourt confronted the security guards and ran out of the offices, knocking over an employee's papers. While trying to escape through the reception area, the security guards threatened the pair with weapons, so Smith and Harcourt escaped in Peacemaker's jetpack, launching themselves out the window, and then making their getaway on the Peace-Cycle.[5]
