Biography[]
Boravian-Jarhanpurian War[]
Duel of Metropolis[]
Jessop operates Ultraman
Ali Jessop was hired by LuthorCorp and joined their team which operated Ultraman. In an attack led by Ultraman under the guise of a Boravian national, Jessop rushed between two computers as she worked. Jessop got excited as Ultraman defeated Superman, sending him flying to the ground. She stayed intently focused on her monitors as Sydney Happersen and Otis Berg discussed Lex Luthor's dedication to defeating Superman, then working with Berg. As Ultraman left the fight, Berg congratulated the team and Jessop began to applaud everyone's efforts and pump her fist. Jessop got a beer with Berg and held it while she acknowledged Ultraman upon his return. She greeted Berg before walking back toward her monitor and hugged Cheryl Kimble. The two then began talking.[1]
Battle of Metropolis[]

Jessop returned to work the next day as Lex Luthor opened a dimensional rift which threatened to destroy Metropolis in order to draw Superman out. She worked at her monitor while Luthor managed Superman and remained there as Otis Berg detached the LuthorCorp Communications Hub from the rest of LuthorCorp Tower. Jessop monitored as Superman flew into the air and noted that he would soon be suffocating due to Engineer's nanites. She rushed around to another monitor. As Superman crash-landed into Metropolis and injured Engineer, Jessop found her with a camera and reported that Engineer's heart was still beating. Jessop watched anxiously and steadied herself on her monitor while Luthor bragged about causing the Boravian-Jarhanpurian War. Jessop then got back to work, taking a pair of commands to give to Ultraman alongside Cheryl Kimble while Luthor talked.
Jessop watched as Ultraman repeated punched Superman in the face at Luthor's command and celebrated. However, Superman got the upper hand over Ultraman with help of Krypto. Jessop brought Luthor hope by reporting that the Raptors had arrived at the scene. Superman defeated the Raptors, and Jessop watched as Luthor got frustrated and ordered Sydney Happersen not to close the dimensional rift and to let the people of Metropolis die. Superman and Mister Terrific broke into the Communications Hub, and Jessop watched as Mister Terrific took over and closed the dimensional rift. Jessop then shouted in horror as Krypto attacked Luthor, tossing him around the Communications Hub. Jessop turned her attention to the television as the press turned on Luthor due to a Daily Planet report, looking around in horror. The Communications Hub was forced to land, and Jessop and the rest of the team inside were arrested[1] and sent to Belle Reve Correctional Center.[2][3]
Establishment of Salvation[]
Recruited[]
Jessop, along with many other members of LuthorCorp, was recruited by A.R.G.U.S. approximately one month later to aid in A.R.G.U.S.'s exploration of the Quantum Unfolding Chamber in hopes of finding a universe which would serve as a prison for metahumans. Jessop agreed and was brought to the LuthorCorp Communications Hub, which was now inside of an A.R.G.U.S. Warehouse. She worked on her laptop as Rick Flag, Sr. looked over her shoulder before Otis Berg brought Flag notes from Luthor. As Angler yelled at Sasha Bordeaux about Kline's death, Jessop moved toward the window of the Communications Hub with interest.[2]
Bonding with A.R.G.U.S.[]
Jessop bonds with Rick Flag, Sr. and her coworkers
Jessop continued working with A.R.G.U.S., enjoying her new job analyzing while A.R.G.U.S. agents were sent into the various universes that the Quantum Unfolding Chamber could access. At one point, Jessop gave Amanda McCoy a high five, and they twirled each other. The group got closer with Rick Flag, Sr. and they all drank together while laughing, ignoring the dying that was occurring outside as A.R.G.U.S. agents continued to search. On another day, Jessop talked to McCoy and Sydney Happersen in the back of the Communications Hub. They would also often get together and laugh while drinking.
One day, Flag worked with Jessop when Emilia Harcourt appeared with a report on a new universe they had discovered, Salvation. Jessop saw the file and looked to Flag, reading it excitedly over Flag's shoulder and turning toward McCoy with joy. McCoy took a page while Jessop continued look through other pages. She turned to Harcourt as Flag dismissed the latter and discussed the finding with Flag, McCoy, and Otis Berg. Jessop excitedly turned to Happersen as he rushed over, turning her attention back to the paper McCoy was holding.[2]
John Economos' Jokes[]
Jessop continued working for A.R.G.U.S., and one day analyzed a file with Otis Berg and Vega. John Economos tried to talk about a football game with the Evergreen Prawns the previous night, although there was no game. This led Berg to comment that no one likes Economos, which Jessop smiled at. Economos got angry and shouted that people like him, including the Holy Trinity, saying that they loved everyone. He pointed to Jessop specifically and said that the Trinity all liked her, calling her a pejorative term, angering her.
Jessop laughs at John Economos' joke
Economos tried to tell a joke about a lobster going into a bar, but stumbled over explaining the joke, so Jessop shook her head and went back to work with Berg. She briefly looked up at Economos again as he started just saying facts about lobsters. Economos then tried another joke about a truck driver who turned out to be a serial killer. Although Jessop was at first dismissive, she looked up at the punchline and laughed loudly at the joke. Economos referred to Jessop as a fan of his. Jessop returned to work, but noticed as Economos left with Emilia Harcourt and Sasha Bordeaux.[2]
Kidnapping of Chris Smith[]
Jessop watches Chris Smith get stranded
With the prison Salvation fully established, A.R.G.U.S. abducted Chris Smith to lock on the planet. McCoy walked behind Smith as he was forced to enter the planet. Jessop watched as Rick Flag, Sr. informed Smith of his imprisonment. As the portal was closed, Jessop walked away with the rest of the team and Flag.[2]
Personality[]
Ali Jessop is willing to dedicate herself to a cause she believes in and is always willing to show her feelings. She got openly excited when she believed Superman to be defeated, truly despising him. Similarly, she happily celebrated the successes of her investigations for A.R.G.U.S., even briefly twirling with Amanda McCoy. Her dedication led to willingness to go along with violations of the law, working for both Lex Luthor and Rick Flag, Sr.
