Biography[]

Boravian-Jarhanpurian War[]

Duel of Metropolis[]

Amanda McCoy was hired by LuthorCorp and brought onto Lex Luthor's team operating Ultraman as he attacked Metropolis, claiming to be a Boravian agent seeking retribution for Superman's Defense of Jarhanpur. McCoy ran through the LuthorCorp Communications Hub as Ultraman attacked Chocos Biscuits Company. She realized she forgot a pencil and got one as she ran over to a monitor to take notes over the shoulder of another member of the team. She stayed by that monitor as Ultraman defeated Superman, then returned to her own monitor. As Ultraman left, McCoy and the rest of the team celebrated their victory, and McCoy gave Otis Berg a fist bump then applauded. She watched Ultraman with admiration as he returned to the Communications Hub. She got a drink and walked across the room to two other women on the team to celebrate with them.[1]

Superman's Escape[]

McCoy worked at her monitor and stayed there as Lex Luthor got frustrated at learning that Superman had escaped his imprisonment in the Pocket Universe.[1]

Battle of Metropolis[]

McCoy returned to work the next day as Lex Luthor opened a dimensional rift which threatened to destroy Metropolis in order to draw Superman out. She worked at her monitor while Luthor managed Superman and remained there as Otis Berg detached the LuthorCorp Communications Hub from the rest of LuthorCorp Tower, continuing to work throughout the battle.

Luthor eventually got frustrated with losing, and McCoy watched as Luthor shouted for Sydney Happersen to let the people of Metropolis die. She turned around as the gateway into the Pocket Universe opened, but then Superman broke in through the LuthorCorp Communications Hub, causing McCoy to press herself against her desk. McCoy ran for cover as Krypto attacked Luthor, tossing him around the room. McCoy then watched in horror as the news turned on Luthor due to a Daily Planet report. The Communications Hub was forced to land, and McCoy and the rest of the team inside were arrested[1] and sent to Belle Reve Correctional Center.[2]

Establishment of Salvation[]

Recruited[]

One month later, McCoy was offered a chance to work along with other LuthorCorp personnel and A.R.G.U.S. and aid in Rick Flag, Sr.'s quest to establish a prison for metahumans. McCoy accepted, and accompanied Otis Berg as he brought an update from Lex Luthor to Flag. An A.R.G.U.S. agent then reported an unlocked door in the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, leading McCoy to smile. McCoy then went to another monitor and continued working. As Angler started yelling at Sasha Bordeaux about Kline's death, McCoy moved toward the window of the LuthorCorp Communications Hub with interest.[2]

Bonding with A.R.G.U.S.[]

McCoy continued working with A.R.G.U.S., enjoying her new job analyzing while A.R.G.U.S. agents were sent into the various universes that the Quantum Unfolding Chamber could access. At one point, McCoy gave Ali Jessop a high five, and they twirled each other. The group got closer with Rick Flag, Sr. and they all drank together while laughing, ignoring the dying that was occurring outside as A.R.G.U.S. agents continued to search. The group continued to get together often to drink and laugh together.

McCoy later saw Emilia Harcourt bring Flag a file that he got excited about, so she went over to see what it was. Jessop turned to her excitedly, so McCoy began reading over Flag's shoulder. She showed a page to Otis Berg and discussed it with him. Flag and Jessop then joined McCoy and Berg's conversation, discussing the discovery. McCoy and Jessop began looking through the file together.[2]

Despite the discovery, McCoy continued working for A.R.G.U.S. One day, while McCoy worked at her monitor next to Sydney Happersen, when John Economos arrived and tried to start a conversation with Happersen, asking if he watched the Evergreen Prawns game the night before. McCoy commented that Happersen did not watch football, but when Otis Berg and Vega insisted there was no football game and no one liked Economos, Economos freaked out, causing McCoy to look away from her monitor. McCoy listened as Economos tried to tell a joke about a lobster going into a bar, but ended up just sharing facts about lobsters. Economos tried another joke about a truck driver turning out to be a serial killer, and McCoy watched as Jessop laughed uncontrollably at the second joke. McCoy then returned to work with Happersen.[2]

Kidnapping of Chris Smith[]

With the prison Salvation fully established, A.R.G.U.S. abducted Chris Smith to lock on the planet. McCoy walked alongside Rick Flag, Sr., behind Smith as he was forced to enter the planet. McCoy watched as Flag informed Smith of his new imprisonment, and at Flag's request looked through the files and highlighted Smith's forged signature to explain to Smith he did not have a choice. As the portal was closed, McCoy walked away with the rest of the team and Flag.[2]

Personality[]

Although McCoy does not appear on the front lines, she is nonetheless ruthless as an employee. She callously alluded to Chris Smith's forged signature claiming he volunteered to be imprisoned on Salvation without hesitation, happy to be working for Rick Flag, Sr. She was equally devoted to Lex Luthor, eagerly running around the LuthorCorp Communications Hub while operating Ultraman and getting emotional at the press turning on Luthor. She was willing to work long hours for Luthor and for A.R.G.U.S. due to her dedication.
