The Ambush on the Kidnappees was an ambush orchestrated by the League of Assassins in an attempt to hunt down Peacemaker.

After a grueling battle, Chris Smith and Eagly decided to take a vacation to Alaska. Ally, Izzy, Matt, Margaret, and Kris bought tickets on the same plane.[1] However, the League of Assassins was hired to hunt down Peacemaker, and upon discovering he was about to board a plane, a member of the organization bought a ticket to follow Smith.[2]

After boarding the plane en route to their destination, the hijacker took control of the plane and released a toxic gas throughout the plane, unnerving the passengers before they were overcome by the gas. Once Smith collapsed, unconscious from the gas, the hijacker called his contact to inform them that the target had been acquired, proceeding to phase two,[1] leaving the passengers stranded in the middle of a forest.[2]
Ambush[]

- "You and your friends are being a total bummer by ruining my vacation, you know what? This is almost as disappointing as when I couldn't get tickets to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour... Guess you're not a swiftie? I get that. Usually, all I listen is glam rock and hard metal, but that girl can sure belt a tune."

When the passengers began to wake up from their fainting spell, they realized they were stranded in the middle of a forest, so Eagly began pecking Smith to wake him up. Ally, stunned, wondered what had happened, so Smith briefly responded by saying they were under cover, as he didn't believe they had been sexually assaulted; and then helped Margaret up, relieved that she was okay. Smith learned that another passenger had the same name as him but with a K, and although Kris tried to calm him down as there could be two Chrises, Smith found it sickening.
Eagly flights off to attack the shooter
The plane's pilot tried to get the passengers' attention and ask them to remain calm, but was suddenly shot in the head, triggering a firefight. Smith quickly ordered everyone to take cover and asked Eagly to engage the shooter, trying to cover Ally and Izzy to ask them to hide behind the tree; Eagly then flew at the shooter, knocking him out of the tree he was hiding in, allowing Smith to restrain him by grabbing his head to tell him about his absolute oath of peace, before brutally snapping his neck, which left everyone around them stunned, causing a shocked Ally to berate Smith for killing him, only for Smith to clarify that he started it.
Peacemaker dons his suit
Smith realized that they had been taken into the woods to be killed and that, not being safe, they should seek shelter, so he took off his clothes and tossed his underpants to Ben to deploy the Flash Ring with which he donned his Peacemaker Suit. Ben was delighted when Smith explained he had stolen the ring from the speedster, prompting him to sniff his boxers, while Eagly flew overhead. With the suit on, Kris admired it, but Smith shushed him, clarifying that he was going to call him Chris despite the same pronunciation, until Ally asked them to refocus on survival. Suddenly, Eagly heard some sounds in the distance, and when Kris commented on the bodies, Smith shushed him to listen to the sounds.
Peacemaker fights against an assassin
Suddenly, a katana-wielding assassin suddenly appeared to attack Smith, and despite being taken by surprise, Smith defended himself by stopping the sword with his hand while reproaching her for ruining his vacation. Smith kicked the assassin and saw the ambush as frustrating as the time he couldn't buy tickets for The Eras Tour, the assassin nevertheless continued hitting Smith, with him realizing that she was not a Swiftie. As the assassin attacked Smith by kicking her with her knees and leg, Eagly flew towards her, pecking her until her mask was removed. As Smith began to get angry about the punches, he began to return them with more force until she left defeated on the ground.[2]
Aftermath[]
Peacemaker learns the League of Assassins is hunting him

Once defeated, Peacemaker prepared to kill her, claiming it wasn't sexist to beat criminals in the name of peace, however, Izzy asked him not to, as they needed to know what was happening. Smith agreed and menaced the assassin with her own katana to threaten to pierce her stomach and apply acid on the leaks in case she did not want to confess, whereupon the assassin then revealed to work for the League of Assassins and to be on the hunt for Smith, threatening to kill them all, which left everyone in shock.[2]
