Chris Smith's Stay[]
Hiding from his friends, Chris Smith stayed at a room in the American Star Motel, along with Eagly. During his stay, he sat outside his room and smoked a joint.
As Emilia Harcourt and John Economos did not have clearance for Peacemaker-related intel at A.R.G.U.S., they had Sasha Bordeaux use her clearance to locate Smith, tracking him down to the motel. The 11th Street Kids confronted Smith as he was walking out of the motel, and Vigilante tackled Smith and tased him, rendering him unconscious.
Inside Smith's hotel room, Smith iced his head, while his friends questioned why he was trying to run away. Smith explained that he believed he was cursed, causing everyone around him to die. Leota Adebayo expressed to Smith that that was not who he is, and they all let Smith know how much he means to them. Adebayo told Smith they had plans to do something good, but they could not do it without him.
As Smith's friends left the motel, Smith stopped Harcourt. He asked her if their kiss on the partyboat the previous month meant anything to her. After some hesitation, Harcourt answered yes. She left, and Smith went back inside, and unable to contain his excitement, burst into dance.[1]
Kidnapping of Chris Smith[]
A week later, Chris Smith returned to the motel after attending a Foxy Shazam concert with his girlfriend Emilia Harcourt. As he was about to open the door to his room, Smith was grabbed by three A.R.G.U.S. agents. They hooded him, tossed him in the back of a van, cuffed him, and took him away.[1]
