Arkham was a planned American web television series, based on the DC Comics location of the same name. The series was produced by DC Studios and developed on HBO Max. On July 5, 2024, it was reported that the series would no longer be moving forward.

On March 3, 2022, it was announced that HBO Max and Matt Reeves were developing another spin-off series in The Batman Universe, this one focusing on the Arkham Asylum.[3]
On March 6, 2022, Matt Reeves revealed that the GCPD series that was in the works has been evolved and altered into the Arkham Asylum series.[4]
When revealing that the GCPD spin-off series was not moving forward in March 2022, Reeves explained that it had led to work on a new idea based on Arkham Asylum. He said the series would build upon Arkham's introduction in the film and explore the origins of different characters related to it. He envisioned a horror tone, with Arkham being depicted as a haunted house.[5] He also later expressed interest in the idea of Barry Keoghan reprising his role as the Joker in the series.[6]
On October 25, 2022, Variety reported that Antonio Campos would direct, produce, and serve as showrunner for the series. It was also reported that the show, GCPD had resumed development, but will be a separate project from the Untitled Arkham Asylum series, no longer making the series an evolution of GCPD.[2]
On December 17, 2023, James Gunn revealed that the web series titled Arkham would be set in the DC Universe, instead of The Batman Universe.[1]
On July 5, 2024, Variety reported that the series would no longer be moving forward at Max.[7]
On July 23, 2024, Matt Reeves confirmed that Arkham was officially cancelled.[8]
