- "Please, Eric. Don't leave. I don't want to be alone."
"I would never let you be alone, Bogdana." - ―Bogdana and Eric Frankenstein[src]
The Assassination of Victor Frankenstein was an attack carried out by Eric Frankenstein so that his caretaker and friend Bogdana would not suffer for him during his absence in his chase of the Bride of Frankenstein.
Background[]

- "Thank you for nursing me back to health, and allowing me a place to recuperate."
"This is not just a place for you to recuperate, Eric. It is your home. I, and specially Ivan, have been the happiest we've ever been in your company. Even though you're a grouch." - ―Eric Frankenstein and Bogdana[src]
Jealous of the recent affair between Victor Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein, whom Victor had created for him, Eric Frankenstein became enraged at his creator and assassinated him, claiming that he was an obstacle to the love between him and the Bride. However, she attacked him for the death of her lover, causing a fire at Frankenstein Manor, where the zombie was caught in the flames as the Bride escaped. Suddenly, Frankenstein awoke and,[2] resisting the flames, managed to survive and escape before collapsing near a stream, which dragged him for several hours until he reached a riverbank, where he was found by the dog Ivan and his owner, Bogdana, who was blind.

Bogdana took the wounded Frankenstein to her home, where she used a family ointment to heal him, which Frankenstein allowed when he awoke. During his recovery, Frankenstein used a crutch and reunited with Bogdana, who told him about her blindness, stating that despite her disability, she could imagine the beauty of the world, urging Frankenstein to imagine his Bride. Over the next few days, Frankenstein formed a close friendship with Bogdana and Ivan, with the zombie thanking the old woman for allowing him to stay in the house, but Bogdana stating that his stay was a great change for her and her dog, mentioning that Frankenstein became a special part of her family and the house would always be his home.[1]

"Because I'm uncertain he would understand."

However, Eric Frankenstein grew interested in chasing the Bride of Frankenstein and eventually decided to leave the house, causing Bogdana to despair and attempt to convince him to stay, reminding him that the Bride previously attempted to kill him before realizing that he had locked Ivan out of the house. Frankenstein continued to ignore Bogdana's warnings due to his presumed destined love for the Bride and, knowing that she would suffer in his absence, began searching for objects to kill her with. When Bogdana broke down in tears after being ignored, Frankenstein found an iron pot and, assuring his friend that he would never leave her alone, crushed her head with the pot, killing her.[1]
Aftermath[]

The next morning, Eric Frankenstein packed his belongings and left the house, only to be spotted by Ivan, who attempted to enter the house to check on Bogdana's condition. However, Frankenstein whistled to attract the dog, who faithfully accompanied him on his journey.[1] After leaving Pokolistan, Frankenstein began a heated pursuit of the Bride of Frankenstein around various locations around the world in an attempt to woo her, but she repeatedly rejected his romantic advances and mostly fought him off[2] before Frankenstein lost track of her when the Bride was incarcerated at Belle Reve Correctional Center.[3]
