The Assassination of Congorilla was an attack by Bride of Frankenstein on Congorilla due to his harassment of Nina Mazursky.

After completing their mission in Pokolistan, which culminated in the capture of the Amazon sorceress Circe and the rescue of Princess Ilana Rostovic, the Creature Commandos took their flight back to the United States on the Sheba. Later, the Commandos were transported back to Belle Reve Correctional Center, where Circe would be interrogated by A.R.G.U.S. Director Amanda Waller in a interrogation room. Before meeting with Waller, General Rick Flag, Sr. congratulated the Bride of Frankenstein for her role in the mission, expressing his desire to work with her and the team again. While Weasel met with his lawyer, Elizabeth Bates, the Commandos returned to prison to await further orders from Waller.[3]

Nina Mazursky is harassed by Congorilla and Nosferata

During lunch at Belle Reve Correctional Center, the Bride of Frankenstein and Doctor Phosphorus chatted over food, though she tried to brush off his jokes, stating that despite their short time together, she did not see him as a friend. Suddenly, the prisoner Congorilla and his vampire friend Nosferata intimidated Nina Mazursky, whom Congorilla insulted for her amphibious appearance, planning to steal her food due to his insufficient rations. Mazursky attempted to stop them from stealing her by mentioning the long flight on the Sheba, however, Congorilla took her plate of food while Nosferata stopped Mazursky, who lost her food to the prisoner gorilla, who left laughing along with Nosferata.
Congorilla is murdered by the Bride of Frankenstein
Before Congorilla and Nosferata could leave, the Bride stood in front of them, demanding that Congorilla return Mazursky's food, but ignoring her warning, he simply pushed her away and continued on his way. In response, the Bride attacked Congorilla with her dish, sending him crashing into the floor, knocking him to the ground. When Congorilla attempted to get up to fight, the Bride used her dish to violently smash him in the mouth, doing so several times until she finally murdered him in front of Mazursky, Nosferata, and the other prisoners, who watched in horror, while Weasel approached the food on the ground and began licking it.[3]

John Economos orders the Commandos to return to Pokolistan

Following the event, Doctor Phosphorus broke the tension between the uncertainty by taking Nosferata's dish and handing it to Nina Mazursky so she could have lunch, joking that everyone should be happy, unlike Nosferata and Congorilla, mentioning that he no longer had a jaw and also might be dead after the Bride of Frankenstein's outburst. At that moment, A.R.G.U.S. agent John Economos appeared in the cafeteria to recruit the Bride and the Creature Commandos for a new mission in Pokolistan and told them to prepare to depart on the Sheba, while other agents transported Congorilla's corpse. During the flight to Pokolistan, the Bride and Mazursky began to bond after she saved her, with the Bride stating that she owed her after almost getting her killed.[3]
