The Assassination of the Private Jet Passengers was a mass murder committed by Eric Frankenstein. He killed the passengers aboard a private jet to secure a means of transportation back to Pokolistan in his quest to find Bride.
Background[]
To debunk Circe's vision regarding Ilana Rostovic, Rick Flag, Sr. formed a partnership with Eric Frankenstein. In exchange for Frankenstein’s help in uncovering the truth, Flag promised to help him reunite with Bride. Together, they spied on Aisla MacPherson, the professor who had claimed Circe's clairvoyant visions were legitimate. Observing her odd behavior with students, the duo became increasingly suspicious.
Breaking into MacPherson's home, they discovered the real professor’s body, confirming that the impostor who met with Flag and Amanda Waller at Belle Reve was likely involved in Circe's deception. Flag immediately called Ilana Rostovic to warn her about the Commandos' mission to assassinate her.
Shortly after, the impostor—revealed to be Clayface—returned home and furiously attacked them. Clayface brutally beat Flag to near death before being overpowered and defeated by Frankenstein. Before falling unconscious, Flag begged Frankenstein to fly to Pokolistan and warn Bride about the deception he believed was orchestrated by Circe.[2]
Frankenstein brought the critically injured Flag to the nearest hospital, inadvertently alerting Waller and John Economos to his involvement. In response, Waller sent agents to monitor local airports to prevent Frankenstein from leaving the country.[3]
Assassination[]
Eric Frankenstein outmaneuvered A.R.G.U.S. security and broke into a private jet, where he brutally killed the passengers, crushing their heads with a single hand. As the plane prepared for takeoff, the co-pilot went to check on the cabin, only to witness the horrifying sight of Eric executing the final passenger and tossing the body aside.
Calmly taking a seat and savoring a meal, Frankenstein explained his mission to the terrified co-pilot. He declared his intention to fly to Pokolistan to prevent Bride from killing Princess Rostovic, acting on Rick Flag’s request. Eric further expressed his hope that by stopping Bride from making "a fatal mistake," she would fall into his arms in gratitude.
Frankenstein then threatened the co-pilot, ordering him to turn the plane around and take off immediately. Petrified, the co-pilot returned to the cockpit and, hiding his fear, assured his colleague that everything was fine.[3]
Aftermath[]
Upon landing in Pokolistan, Eric Frankenstein handed a wad of bills to the still-frightened pilots before leaving, expressing his satisfaction at being "home." He then hailed a taxi to Poko Castle, recounting his history with Bride to the visibly traumatized driver and elaborating on his plan to win her over by stopping her from killing Princess Rostovic.
Arriving near a security tower, Frankenstein spotted Bride killing an Amethyst Knight. Climbing the tower to confront her, he was met with hostility—Bride shot him on sight before he could explain himself, causing him to fall from the tower. Despite mentioning Rick Flag Sr., Bride fired one last shot, rendering him unconscious.
It was later revealed that Eric survived the encounter and recuperated at the home of the old woman who watched over Frankenstein Manor. While recovering, he expressed renewed determination to find Bride, though not before voicing his disgust at the soup served by his caretaker.[4]
