The Sons of Themyscira were brought together by Circe, who led them in attacking the country Pokolistan in hopes of deposing the ruling family. The Bride was recruited to Task Force M and sent to combat the Sons of Themyscira and Circe,[1] which the Bride recognized as a chance to get the necklace. She snuck out of Poko Castle, pursued by Nina Mazursky in her attempts to get the Bride to return to the task force so they did not get in trouble. A member of the Sons of Themyscira, Tanner, followed Mazursky and the Bride to Frankenstein Manor and reported their location back to Circe. Mazursky found the necklace while the Sons mobilized.[3]

Upon arriving at Frankenstein Manor, Circe rose to a window to surprise Bride and Nina by throwing a powerful blast of magical energy at them, which they both managed to dodge. Circe tried to continue throwing blasts at them, but Bride threw a piece of furniture at her which she dodged, the Sons of Themyscira then burst into the room, but as Circe reloaded her blasts, Bride broke the floor beneath her and Mazursky's feet, allowing them to fall to the next floor. Circe flew to the roof, but saw CRITICALSCEPTICFACTSOVERFEELINGS_91 being thrown through the window.

Circe went through the roof and several windows, but Bride ran to dodge the blasts as she charged Mazursky, jumping through a window and stealing a gun from one of the Sons, with which she began to shoot all the enemies around her, while Nina Mazursky covered her ears, angry at her for hurting her hearing. Circe approached the Bride, and the Bride began to shoot at her, but Circe used her magic to turn the bullets into butterflies, and then into a powerful blast of magic which she fired back at the Bride.

Nina Mazursky ran using her communicator to contact Rick Flag, Sr., desperately calling for backup, only to find a group of Sons of Themyscira in front of her, being forced to cut the call with Flag and run while being shot at. As Mazursky fled, Bride continued to fight Circe, where she threw a car at her which easily broke it in half, only for Bride to appear right behind the car and push her into the mansion, slamming her through several walls, until Circe sent her flying with her through the roof, and ending up in the lab, where Bride managed to pin her against the wall.

Bride tried to punch her in the face, but Circe teleported and reappeared behind her to punch her, pinning her against the operating table where she repeatedly punched her in the face, causing her to spit blood. Circe stood over Bride and asked her if she had been sent by the U.S. government, striking her with a metal rod. Circe then prepared to unleash her power against her, claiming it would be a message to the government, but Bride jabbed a piece of glass into her ankle, causing her to miss the shot and allowing Bride to get up and kick Circe's groin, which broke the gem at her waist, and then push Circe onto the balcony, where Bride repeatedly punched her.

However, Circe grabbed her by the arms and transformed them into balloon men, which left her stunned, and a desesperate Bride tried futilely to attack Circe with her balloon arms, but Circe struck her several times, causing her to bleed, until she pushed her off the balcony. Nina witnessed Bride fall, which exposed her to being hit by a Sons of Themyscira bullet, rupturing her tank and falling to the ground next to her. Struggling to breathe, a weakened Bride apologized to her, but Mazursky gasped an insult towards her, before they were both struck by the thugs.[3]

With Nina Mazursky and Bride defeated, Circe knew that Task Force M was coming to the rescue, so she planned a distraction in order to ambush Rostovic, ordering her forces to take them hostage, tying Bride to a chair at the entrance and placing duct tape over her mouth, while Nina was locked with spikes in the mansion's bathtub, to proceed to escape to Poko Castle.

Upon arriving at Frankenstein Manor, Rick Flag, Sr. saw how the radar showed that Nina and Bride were not moving assuming they were captured, and planned a rescue. Once Flag gave them the signal to enter, the team ambushed the mansion, only to see Bride tied up with her mouth bandaged, who after the blindfold was removed revealed that Circe and her forces had escaped. Flag wondered why Circe had let Bride and Nina live, and realized Circe's distraction, so he desperately ordered the team to run to the tank and return to the castle.[4]
