Working with Rupert Thorne[]
The country at some point made an agreement with an American crime lord, Rupert Thorne from Gotham City. Thorne planned to send the stats and research from Alex Sartorius's nuclear fusion work, which was supposed to cure cancer, to the Bialyan scientists.[1]

- In the comics, Bialya is a country located in the Middle East, north of Iran and Saudi Arabia. Captain Nathaniel Adam, later known as Captain Atom, was temporarily stationed there.
