Big Belly Burger was founded as a burger restaurant in Coast City, but became a chain expanding to both Metropolis and Gotham City.[1]
In 2025, during the attack on Metropolis by a Kaiju, Superman punched the monster near a Big Belly Burger sign.[2] At Evergreen, Chris Smith and Emilia Harcourt went on a date to Big Belly Burger, where they were served by Maeve. While her two customers drank, Maeve took a shot with them, and then they shared a hug.[3]

- In the comics, Big Belly Burger is an often-recurring restaurant chain. It first appeared in Adventures of Superman #441 (June 1988), story entitled "The Tiny Terror of Tinseltown", in which Mr. Mxyzptlk causes a Big Belly Burger mascot statue to come to life and fling hamburgers at Superman. It is also mentioned frequently in the Arrowverse.
