Jaime Reyes, also known as Blue Beetle, was a young superhero with cybernetically enhanced abilities, bestowed through bonding with a powerful sentient alien device called the Scarab. He lost his life battling the forces of Gorilla Grodd and Princess Ilana Rostovic.

A Twisted Vision[]
Princess Ilana Rostovic, along with her Amethyst Knights, conquered Earth and transformed it into an apocalyptic wasteland. A massive conflict began between the heroes and Rostovic, but Blue Beetle died in the process. In a vision given by Circe to Amanda Waller, Waller saw Blue Beetle impaled by Princess Rostovic alongside several other superheroes.[1]
