Production

On June 14, 2024, it was reported that an animated series centered on Blue Beetle was in development with Xolo Maridueña set to reprise the role, with that Miguel Puga attached as showrunner and director and Cristian Martinez as writer, and with Angel Manuel Soto, Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, John Rickard and Galen Vaisman set to executive produce. The series is said to build on the film but will divert from telling the same story.
