Biography[]
Rescuing Eric Frankenstein[]
Bogdana and her dog, Ivan, discovered Eric Frankenstein in a river after his fight with the Bride. She rescued him and brought him back to her home, where she began treating his burns.[1]
While Eric recovered, he and Bogdana got to know each other, forming a growing friendship. The old woman explained him how she went to appreciate life as it was, despite her blindness, stating she could see more than him despite her lack of vision.[1]
Assassinated by Eric[]
When Eric fully recovered, he decided to set out to pursue the Bride. Bogdana begged him to stay with her, saying she didn't want to be alone. Eric said she wouldn't, killing her.[1]
Personality[]
Bogdana was a wise and compassionate old woman, always willing to help those in need. Despite her blindness, she had learned throughout her life to value people for who they are rather than how they appear, and to appreciate the small blessings life offers. Known for her patience, she never lost her temper with Eric Frankenstein, even when confronted with his abrasive language. Instead, she gently shared her perspectives on life, often responding to his sarcastic remarks with humor rather than offense.
However, beneath her kindness lay a profound sense of loneliness. She wept when Eric announced his plans to leave her in search of the Bride, despite her attempts to convince him that the Bride never truly loved him. Tragically, her attachment to Eric sealed her fate. Believing he was sparing her from a life of solitude, Eric killed Bogdana in what he saw as an act of mercy.
