Michael Jon "Mike" Carter, also known as Booster Gold, was a disgraced former football star from the 25th century who used basic future technology to come back in time and pretended to be a superhero. He lost his life battling the forces of Gorilla Grodd and Princess Ilana Rostovic.

A Twisted Vision[]
Princess Ilana Rostovic, along with her Amethyst Knights, conquered Earth and transformed it into an apocalyptic wasteland. A massive conflict began between the heroes and Rostovic, but Booster Gold died in the process. In a vision given by Circe to Amanda Waller, Waller saw Booster Gold impaled by Princess Rostovic alongside several other superheroes.[1]
