- "I want you to know I'm not going to kill you because you're going to cause World War III. And I'm not doing it to save the world. I mean, after all, what has this ball of dirt ever done for me? No. Ilana, I'm killing you because you took the life of the only friend I have. And the only one of us with an ounce of kindness in her veins."
- ―Bride of Frankenstein to Ilana Rostovic[src]
The Bride of Frankenstein, codenamed The Bride, is a Zombified subject and the scorned lover of mad scientist Doctor Victor Frankenstein created as a wife for his earlier creation Eric Frankenstein, who she was relentlessly pursued by throughout history after Frankenstein murdered their creator out of misguided jealousy for the love affair she shared with the Doctor until her incarceration in the Belle Reve Correctional Center.
Bride was eventually forced by Amanda Waller to serve as a member of the Creature Commandos and protect Princess Ilana Rostovic from Circe and her forces, where she formed close bonds with Nina Mazursky, before turning on Rostovic and being placed as leader by Waller's orders. On the verge of accomplishing their objective, the team was forced to desist, but seeking revenge against Rostovic for killing her friend, Bride shot her and was later put in charge of leading a new lineup of the Commandos.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Created by Victor Frankenstein[]

Bride's creation
- "When a baby is born, she's know her mother's womb, and, therefore, her mother, intimately, for nine months. The womb is one's tether to the universe, to the fragile social system of humanity. But your bride, she came from nothing to something in an instant. She has no tether, doesn't know where she is or who we are. She is but a cluster of fear and not knowing."
- ―Victor Frankenstein[src]
Victor Frankenstein created Bride as a wife for Eric Frankenstein, using body parts of several deceased women. She was brought to life by Victor and vomited blood, panicking as she struggled to gather her senses. The operating table she was strapped to was lowered to be laying down as Bride continued to panic, and Victor asked her to stop stirring. Victor caressed Brides' cheek, calming her down as she saw Victor's face. Victor assured her that it was alright, but then Eric shoved flowers in her face, declaring that he had picked them for her. Bride panicked again and started screaming, upsetting Eric.[2]

Victor Frankenstein began teaching Bride to speak. One day, he showed Bride an apple, which she was able to correctly name. He showed Bride a hat, which she incorrectly called a "cap." Frankenstein corrected her, so Bride said the correct word. Frankenstein complimented Bride, who laughed, pleased with herself. Bride watched as Eric Frankenstein asked why it was important, and Victor sarcastically asked if Eric wanted his bride to be able to speak. However, Eric claimed that words would get in the way of expressing their feelings. Victor then showed Bride a necklace, which she identified as pretty. Victor then taught her the word necklace.

Bride kept saying no as Eric yelled, demanding to know why he cannot touch her. Eric ended up pinning Bride to a wall as she continued to scream. Eric claimed that he loved Bride, scaring her further. Victor tried to calm Eric down, prompting him to drop Bride and pick Victor up instead. Bride watched in horror as Eric squeezed Victor's throat and declared that Bride was a failed experiment since she did not love him. She watched as Eric threw Victor to the ground and ran out. Bride then approached Victor and comforted him, but Victor assured her that he was fine.[2]

He explained that nobody cared about the necklace and put it on for her. Bride then called herself beautiful.

Eric said that he did what he had to do as Victor was the only thing standing in the way of their love, but Bride screamed and punched Eric, causing a candle to fall on a tapestry and set Frankenstein Manor on fire. Bride screamed and dropped her necklace, and Eric began to suffocate her. Bride forced Eric into the fire and turned back to Victor, crying.[2]

"Is a corpse human?" - ―Rick Flag, Sr. and Amanda Waller[src]
Bride was eventually arrested and brought to Belle Reve Correctional Center, where she was held in the non-human internment division due to her nature of having been built from corpses. One day, Bride was brought into a room alongside various other non-human prisoners. She leaned against a wall and read an issue of Young Love, getting frustrated with it. She ripped the magazine and threw it to the ground. She looked up and saw Amanda Waller and Rick Flag, Sr. observing them, deciding showing them both her middle finger.

Bride is shocked by Nano-Bombs
Waller and Flag went down into the room to greet the prisoners, leading Bride, along with Doctor Phosphorus and Weasel, to attack the pair. Flag drew his gun on the prisoners, but Waller remained calm and used a detonator to activate the Nano-Bombs which had been placed in each of the prisoners. Bride lay on the floor as Waller properly introduced the Creature Commandos to Flag.[1]
Arrival to Poko Castle[]

Bride realizes that Doctor Phosphorus is smiling
- "Are we in goddamn Pokolistan?"
"You've been here before?"
"Fucking hell." - ―Bride of Frankenstein and Nina Mazursky[src]
Bride was brought onto the Sheba along with the rest of the Creature Commandos, where Rick Flag, Sr. expressed understanding that they were being forced to help. Doctor Phosphorus expressed delight to be serving the United States, prompting Bride to realize despite Phosphorus' lack of facial expression that he was smiling sarcastically. Bride watched as Weasel nervously tried to escape and Phosphorus revealed his knowledge that Weasel was convicted of killing children, although Flag explained to Phosphorus, Bride, and Nina Mazursky that Weasel was simply nervous due to a previous bad experience in the Sheba.

Bride is annoyed by Doctor Phosphorus
Bride then looked out the window and recognized that they were in Pokolistan, upsetting her as Mazursky asked if she had been there. The Sheba touched down and the Commandos exited together, where they were greeted by Alexi and the rest of the royal guard. They were put in an armored vehicle together and drove toward Poko Castle. The team huddled in the car together as Weasel urinated, upsetting Phosphorus. Phosphorus turned to Bride as he complained about nobody thinking to take Weasel for a walk, upsetting Bride. Bride threatened Phosphorus as they continued driving. Bride then watched as Mazursky waved at a young Pokolistani boy, only to get hurried away by his mother, upsetting Mazursky.

Bride scoffs at Rick Flag, Sr.
The Commandos arrived at the castle, which they admired. They saw various paintings of past monarchs, the appearance of which prompted Bride to comment to Flag that there appeared to be a significant amount of incest within the Pokolistani royal family. Flag chuckled and agreed, commenting about the looks of the princess they were sent to protect. However, when Princess Ilana Rostovic appeared, Flag instantly became lovestruck, which Bride scoffed at. Rostovic greeted Flag with his full name, including his middle name Bill, which Bride teased him for.

Bride is shown by Doctor Phosphorus his sarcastic smile
Flag got frustrated, so Bride ceded. Flag bowed to Rostovic, which Alexi claimed was reckless and prepared to kill Flag, leading the Commandos to prepare to fight. However, Alexi and the guards then laughed, revealing that it was a joke. Alexi claimed that Flag had nearly urinated from fear, which Bride agreed with to tease an increasingly frustrated Flag. Alexi used dated references to express his love of American culture, and Phosphorus commented on it sarcastically, showing off his sarcastic smile to Bride.

Bride drinking beer
Rostovic invited the Commandos to a banquet, impressing Bride. She drank multiple bottles of wine at the banquet. She watched with sadness as Rostovic took care of her catatonic mother and told her mother that she loved her. She then resumed drinking. The team then went out into the courtyard as sunset came, and Bride continued drinking with Alexi and another guard. As the guards laughed, Bride smiled until Alexi spat out part of his drink.[1]
Looking for her Necklace[]

Bride and Nina Mazursky leave Poko Castle
- "What are you looking for?"
"A tourmaline necklace. It should be here somewhere." - ―Nina Mazursky and Bride of Frankenstein[src]
Bride of Frankenstein was then sent to her room along with Nina Mazursky, who laid down at the bottom of a full bathtub. Seeing that Mazursky was fully immersed in the tub and would not see her, Bride then went out the window and, using her acrobatic skills, climbed down Poko Castle and onto the ground below. However, Mazursky then appeared behind her, surprising Bride by revealing that she had simply taken the stairs. Bride walked away and Mazursky tried to stop her from leaving, not wanting to get shocked by the Nano-Bombs.

Bride and Nina Mazursky get on a taxi
Bride simply told Mazursky to be more courageous and went to the gate, demanding that the guard let her out and give her money. Bride took all of the guard's money and corrected Mazursky's attempt to thank him on her behalf. Mazursky called Bride rude as she hailed a taxi and told Mazursky that no one is forcing her to go with Bride. Bride then got in the taxi and asked to go to Frankenstein Manor, demanding that the driver ignore the bowl on Mazursky's head.

Bride explains Nina Mazursky where they are
The taxi drove Bride and Mazursky to the manor, and Bride got out of the cab, looking up at her old home. Mazursky asked where they were, so Bride simply responded that it was where she was born, thinking back to her birth in the manor. She broke the lock and entered the manor, followed by Mazursky.[1] Inside, Bride confirmed that Mazursky heard her correctly, turning back as Mazursky asked why they were there.

Bride sees the table where she was created
Upstairs, Bride looked at a portrait of Victor Frankenstein and his family. Mazursky asked if they were parents, which Bride was dismissive of. Mazursky was hurt by the response, so Bride explained that the manor was only where Frankenstein worked and that his family lived up the road. Bride took Mazursky up into Frankenstein's laboratory, which Mazursky commented on. Bride looked at the operating table and remembered her first moments of life.

Bride looks for her Tourmaline Necklace
Mazursky expressed sympathy, but Bride simply explained that birth was always horrible, the only difference being that humans such as her could not remember it. Mazursky explained that despite Bride's view, she is not viewed as human by the general populace. Bride countered by saying the world is not typically right.Mazursky asked what they are searching for, not wanting to get shocked by the Nano-Bombs. Bride claimed to have felt worse, but then admitted to lying and said that she was looking for a Tourmaline Necklace.

Bride cries after remembering her past
She remembered the first time she saw the necklace and assured Mazursky that they can return once they find it, saying that her complaining is worse than working for Rick Flag, Sr. She searched in a bedroom for the necklace, but remembered Eric Frankenstein's abuse of her and began crying. She collected herself right as Mazursky returned with the necklace. She sighed, happy to receive the necklace.[2]
Attack on Frankenstein Manor[]
- "Sorry."
"Go... fuck... yourself." - ―Bride of Frankenstein and Nina Mazursky[src]

Bride notices Circe
Nina Mazursky asked what the Tourmaline Necklace means to her, but Bride simply scoffed and took it. Mazursky got frustrated and asked if they could leave, but Bride saw Circe outside the window. Bride ran, but got knocked over by Circe's blast. Bride pushed Mazursky out of the way of a blast and threw furniture from the room at Circe. One of the Sons of Themyscira entered with a gun, so Bride kicked him back. She kicked the floor and brought herself and Mazursky to the next room while Circe and the Sons both fired at them.

Bride punched another Son to the side and turned around to find herself under fire by several sons, including CRITICALSCEPTICFACTSOVERFEELINGS_91. She took cover and ripped the door off a heater, using it as a shield to approach the sons as they fired. The sons ran out of bullets, and Bride pushed them into the next room. She took her jacket off and used it to throw one of the Sons through a wall. She punched two more and was approached by CRITICALSCEPTICFACTSOVERFEELINGS_91, whose shin she kicked in before punching him.

Bride kills all the Sons of Themyscira
Another Son approached with a gun, which she forced out of his hand before kicking him into the toilet. CRITICALSCEPTICFACTSOVERFEELINGS_91 punched Bride in the face, but Bride remained unaffected and threw him out through the roof.Bride guided Mazursky to where they could escape, but found them under attack by Circe. She held Mazursky and ran while Circe fired several blasts into the hallway from outside Frankenstein Manor. She jumped out a window and landed on a Son, taking his gun and using it to shoot the rest of the Sons that were surrounding her.

Bride fights against Circe
Bride reloaded as Mazursky complained about the sound, but Bride simply pushed her out of the way and fired on Circe, who turned the bullets into butterflies. Bride cursed at the magic and told Mazursky to leave as Circe turned the butterflies into a blast headed toward Bride. Bride threw a car at Circe and jumped behind it, so when Circe cut the car, Bride had an opening to attack and punch Circe through several walls. They landed in the laboratory, where Bride pinned her to a column. She prepared to punch Circe, who teleported away.

Bride is attacked by Circe
Circe got the upper hand and forced her onto the operating table, punching her face in repeatedly, reminding Bride of when she had sex with Victor Frankenstein on the operating table. Bride fell on the floor and spat out blood, getting pushed to the ground as Circe declared she had a message for the United States government, preparing to kill Bride with a blast of magic to her face. However, Bride took a piece of broken glass and stabbed Circe's ankle with it, allowing her to escape her clutches.

Bride lays defeated
Bride then kicked Circe's crotch area, breaking the gem that was on her waist, and pushed her onto the balcony where they continued to fight. Circe turned Bride's arms into balloons, making her punches useless. Circe then brutally beat Bride and pushed her off. Bride landed next to Mazursky, whose bowl had been shot, forcing her to gasp for water. Bride apologized, but Mazursky simply swore at her. The two were then taken by the Sons.[2]
Battle at Poko Castle[]

Bride sits gagged and tied up to a chair
- "What are you doing out here? We thought we were recruiting monsters, not damsels in distress!"
- ―Rick Flag, Sr. to Bride of Frankenstein[src]
Bride was gagged and tied up to a chair until the Creature Commandos and Alexi arrived to rescue her and Nina Mazursky. Although Doctor Phosphorus initially suspected a trap, Rick Flag, Sr. untied Bride, who shouted that the Sons of Themyscira had already left. Frustrated, Flag berated her, remarking they were supposed to recruit monsters rather than people in need of saving. Suspicious of why the Sons left both women alive to be found, Bride and Flag realized it was a distraction to keep them away from Poko Castle.

Bride tells Rick Flag, Sr. that he got monsters
Bride, along with the rest of her teammates, arrived in the middle of a fierce battle between the Amethyst Knights and Circe's forces. She and Flag engaged the enemy with their guns until they were forced to take cover behind a fountain. Surrounded by gunfire and lacking space to reload her pistols, her life was saved by G.I. Robot, who Flag told that the Sons were Nazis, leading him to start gleefully shooting them until he was destroyed by Circe. When the witch was brutally mauled and burned by Weasel and Doctor Phosphorus, Bride sarcastically told a shocked Flag that he actually got monsters for this mission.[3]
Assassinating Congorilla[]

Bride talks with Rick Flag, Sr.
- "Even though you got us into some trouble over there, you're good at this. If the need comes up for this type of group again, I hope you'll be a part."
"I didn't realize I had a choice." - ―Rick Flag, Sr. and Bride of Frankenstein[src]
Bride returned to Belle Reve Correctional Center with the rest of the Creature Commandos. Rick Flag, Sr. remarked they would need someone like her in future missions, to which Bride answered with surprise at Flag's wording, implying she had a choice. Bride and her teammates were then imprisoned again.[4]

Bride threatens Congorilla to give Nina Mazursky her food back
At lunchtime, Bride went to serve herself a plate of food, disgusted at being served hyena vomit, and Doctor Phosphorus followed her expressing his joy at returning home, which upset Bride, who did not see him as a friend, despite Phosphorus believing himself to be. At that, they both witnessed Nina Mazursky being bullied by Congorilla who stole her food from her tray. Bride confronted Congorilla, threatening to give Nina her food back, but he roared at her to intimidate her into not bothering him, prompting Bride to slam the gorilla against the wall with her tray.

Bride murders Congorilla with a tray
Bride then used it to brutally stab him in the skull killing him, with an exasperated Bride throwing the tray to the floor. The event shocked everyone and led to Phosphorus taking Nosferata's tray and handing it to Nina. Suddenly, Bride saw John Economos appear in the cafeteria, assuming that she was being taken back to the hole for killing Congorilla, however, Economos informed her that she had actually been put in charge of Task Force M and that they had to return to Pokolistan to kill Princess Ilana Rostovic, asking them to prepare.[4]
Prevention of the Pokolistani Conquest[]
Return to Pokolistan[]

Bride talks with Nina Mazursky during flight
- "I wonder what he's dreaming about."
"Probably just chasing squirrels." - ―Nina Mazursky and Bride of Frankenstein[src]
Upon takeoff, Nina asked Bride why she helped her and Bride said that she owed her for almost letting herself get killed, but Nina figured that giving her back the disgusting food wasn't really compensation, making them laugh. Bride told Nina that they were asked to kill the princess and she asked why, but they only knew what was necessary, reciting that they didn't have to know. Mazursky asked her if she had killed anyone before, Bride assured her, wondering that Nina hadn't, having no problem with killing the princess when she asked. Nina heard Weasel having nightmares, wondering what he was dreaming about, and Bride believed he was just dreaming about hunting squirrels.[4]

Bride refuses to provide details of the threat to Alexi
Arriving at the Airport, Bride put on sunglasses and the team was greeted enthusiastically by Alexi, escorting them to take them to Poko Castle, however he found it strange that they were returning so soon, but Bride stated that they would only come to protect the princess after receiving the threat, hearing Alexi claim that they had never received threats in Pokolistan before opening communications with the Americans, but Bride did not want to talk about political matters. Alexi however asked what kind of threat it was, but Bride simply stated that it was classified, Alexi tried to convince her to talk about the threat but she said that her opinion did not matter, before leaving for the castle.[5]
Ambush on the Creature Commandos[]

Bride and the team are misled by Alexi
- "What's up, Alexi? This isn't... We're leaving the city. The castle is that way."
"Oh! It seems roundabout, but it's good shortcut." - ―Bride of Frankenstein and Alexi[src]
After receiving a call, Alexi changed routes under the pretense of avoiding traffic, confusing the team as Bride and Doctor Phosphorus shared suspicious glances, and upon realizing that they were heading out of the city and away from the castle, Bride became annoyed with Alexi and asked him where he was going, with him pretending to take a shortcut. Later, Alexi stopped at a dead end to kill time, trying to persuade them by claiming that the engine broke down, angering Phosphorus who yelled at him to keep moving. The team was then surprised when the Amethyst Knights appeared pointing guns at them. Bride became frustrated and tried to open the vehicle's doors, realizing that they were locked, before Alexi pointed his gun at her, expressing his loyalty to the princess.

Bride fights against the Amethyst Knights
After Phosphorus killed Alexi, the soldiers began firing at them, taking cover between the seats until Bride was able to open the doors, allowing the team to run for cover as she began using her dual pistols to engage the soldiers. Bride quickly ran away, shooting several soldiers in the process, and when an armored tank appeared in front of her, Bride fired at the soldiers. Seeing an Amethyst Knight flying above her and realizing she was out of bullets, she dropped her weapons and jumped onto the tank, attacking the guard, pushing him to the ground and destabilizing his thrusters, causing him to begin flying out of control as she hit him in the face.

Bride uses blaster cannons against the Amethyst Knights
Bride scraped him against a building, crashing into a rooftop, and with the guard killed, Bride removed the blaster cannons from his suit and placed them on her arm, firing ferociously at the Amethyst Knights who tried to defeat her, managing to finish them all off. However, the blaster cannons stopped working and Bride had to take them away, realizing that she had become a fugitive, Bride ran through the urban corridors, whispering the names of her teammates in order to find them, until she heard the police sirens, so she had to keep escaping.[5]

Bride finds Nina Mazursky sneaking around
At night, Bride cautiously walked through the halls, entering defensively with her gun clashing, getting angry to see that it was Nina sneaking around. Suddenly, Bride sensed the Amethyst Knights approaching, so she grabbed Nina and entered the Can-Can brothel. They both became worried, wondering if they had been seen, but soon realized that they had been spotted by the brothel staff. Sensing the knights' footsteps, Bride saw who seemed to be the owner of the brothel, threatening her with her gun so she wouldn't give them away. Nina asked her to calm down and not kill her, but Bride resisted, leading Nina to become frustrated and advise her to seek therapy.[6]
Skirmish at Can-Can[]

Bride sees the Amethyst Knights through the window
- "Probably not how you expected your day to end."
- ―Bride of Frankenstein to Paddy Craic[src]
However, the knights knocked loudly on the door, leading to Bride and Nina hiding behind the curtains as the cane distracted them. Once they left, Gyurov asked them to leave, but Bride saw through the window that the knights were still outside, so they both had to stay, getting angry when Nina suggested playing to distract themselves. While spying on the knights from the window, Madame Gyurov commented to Bride and Nina about how successful they would be in their line of work as metahumans. However, Bride was annoyed by the comment, stating that she and Nina had more respect for themselves, which Gyurov saw as hypocrisy, since they used their bodies to kill.

Bride lashes out against Madame Gyurov
Gyurov continued to criticize Bride, explaining that her staff was dedicated to this work because it was the only way they could survive, believing that Bride had no respect for herself, which made Bride lash out at her threatening her with a gun, and Nina, frightened, asked her to stop. Gyurov advised her to listen to her friend, but Bride clarified that Nina was not her friend. Suddenly, a knock was heard at the brothel door, so as not to raise suspicion, Bride lowered her gun and the three of them hid behind the curtains, outraged to discover that they were two sex-hungry men. However, the trio heard screams of despair from the employee from the ceiling, climbing into the room to see what was going on.

Bride rips out Paddy Craic's heart
Madame Gyurov discovered that her employee was being mistreated by metahuman Paddy Craic, who also attacked her, leading Nina to hit him with a glass bottle. An angry Craic, asked his brother Brian Craic to help him kill them, and when Brian reluctantly prepared to use his powers, Bride shot him in the skull. Paddy then angrily slammed Bride into a wall, destroying it, but she got up taking off her jacket to fight him. Bride slammed him in the face against a bookshelf, and when Craic tried to hit her with a wooden penis, Bride ripped his arm off, making him scream in pain and try to shoot lightning with his other hand, but Bride pierced his chest, ripping out his heart, which exploded, killing him instantly.[6]
Invading the Castle[]

Bride and the team on their way to kill the princess

"Let's go kill a princess." - ―Nina Mazursky and Bride of Frankenstein[src]
Upon leaving the brothel, the victim employee approached the door to thank Bride for saving her, but Bride didn't care, and Nina was glad that Bride had softened and stood up for her, seeing her as a friend, but Bride grew uncomfortable, making Nina laugh. They both walked into the forest and in the morning, they met up with Weasel and Doctor Phosphorus, who were heading to the castle. Seeing the castle in the distance, Bride raised her dual pistols expressing her eagerness to kill the princess, continuing on their way.[6]

Bride warns Nina Mazursky about Ilana Rostovic's danger
The Commandos took a guard overseeing the tower by surprise by climbing it, with Bride strangling him and slamming him against the window. Nina Mazursky expressed her displeasure with Bride for killing him so cruelly and Bride excused herself by saying that his hat was ugly, and when Mazursky asked wondered if they were mistaken and Rostovic was actually innocent and they were killing her for no reason, Bride reminded her of Waller's orders, who claimed that Rostovic planned to destroy the world, and looked for an entrance to the castle by checking the cameras, but soon realized that they were all surrounded by guards.

Bride and the team find a tape of Ilana Rostovic with Clayface
However, when searching another computer, Phosphorus found a tape of Rostovic with Clayface, which confused the team. Suddenly, they were frightened to see Eric Frankenstein arriving through the window, yelling at Bride who quickly shot him, knocking him to the ground, and when Doctor Phosphorus taunted her, Bride shut him up. Mazursky asked to leave in case the guards heard the shots, so Bride told them to go to the garden wall as it was the least protected. Bride jumped off the castle, where she saw a wounded Frankenstein saying the name of Rick Flag, Sr., but she refused to listen to him and shot him in the head, making him faint, and then proceeded to escape with her team.[7]
Ambush on Ilana Rostovic[]

Bride and the team cross the wall
Bride and the Commandos hid behind a tree, informing their teammates that behind the wall was where there were fewer guards, and quickly executed their plan of entry, where Phosphorus killed a monitoring guard and used his radioactive powers to incinerate the wall. After entering, the Commandos hid behind the trees watching the guards surround the lake to protect the princess who was swimming, getting frustrated when Weasel wanted to go with the princess and Mazursky remembered the bond he created with her, Phosphorus suggested to kill him, but both refused flatly.

Bride encourages Nina Mazursky to kill Ilana Rostovic
As the princess was surrounded by guards, Bride devised a plan to kill her, asking Nina to enter the pond and stab her, since the only way to get to her was underwater. Mazursky initially rejected the idea, but Bride gave her her knife to stab her in the stomach, and both Bride and Phosphorus convinced her that she was a monster just like them, which gave her the courage. However, Weasel began to suffer from a PTSD episode, and he burst out of the bushes and splashed around in the pond in an effort to warn the princess, causing the team to be spotted and Rostovic to be put on alert, managing to kill Nina.

Bride is shocked by the death of Nina Mazursky
Bride panicked for her friend and ran into the water in concern, only to fall into shock upon seeing the body rise to the surface, screaming in despair before being cornered by guards, until Sergei to hand her a comlink, as Amanda Waller wanted to talk to her. Waller warned her that she had made a mistake, only for Bride, devastated by Nina Mazursky's death, to destroy the comlink. Inside the castle, Bride became pensive and argued with Doctor Phosphorus about being jealous of Weasel being petted by the guards, sharing the sentiment of not being touched, then left, promising Phosphorus that she would return.[7]
Assassination of Ilana Rostovic[]

Bride reveals to Ilana Rostovic that she knows her true intentions
- "You were who Circe said you were all along. A power mad, sadistic, narcissistic, Disney princess who wants to destroy the world."
- ―The Bride to Ilana Rostovic[src]
Bride met Rostovic in a room to talk, where she tried to manipulate her into believing she was innocent, but Bride revealed that she knew of her plans while looking through books in a library, confessing to knowing that Circe was telling the truth after seeing Clayface on tapes, unraveling Rostovic's plan in detail. Rostovic became nervous and tried to deny the claims, but Bride promised Rostovic that she would kill her not to save the world, but to avenge her friend.

Bride shots Ilana Rostovic in the forehead
Rostovic then tried to shoot Bride with a hidden weapon, but Bride shot him in the head first, killing her, avenging Nina and preventing the dark future. Bride returned to her teammates and asked them to leave quickly, and when a man tried to ask questions, Bride pushed him out of the way. The trio left the castle and Bride cried for her friend, with Phosphorus trying to comfort her on her shoulder.[7]
New Team[]

"What else do I go to do?" - ―John Economos and the Bride of Frankenstein[src]
Bride was taken back to Belle Reve's non-human division, and as they got off the elevator, Economos mocked Rick Flag, Sr. for allowing himself to be manipulated, but Bride was annoyed. However, Economos explained that Waller thanked her, and after opening the door, Economos showed Bride a remodeled division and her teammates in a new lineup of Creature Commandos, which included Doctor Phosphorus, Nosferata, Khalis, and Weasel, as well as a rebuilt G.I. Robot who reported for duty, and a King Shark who mocked her hair. Economos asked her if she would take the lead, Bride smiled at him in agreement.[7]
Personality[]
- "This kind of thing is a common occurrence with her?"
"Sort of... yes. Sadly." - ―Gyurov and Nina Mazursky[src]
Initially, right after her creation, Bride had an innocent and peaceful personality, struggling with communication and, like a child who has just discovered the world, she had a fear of the unknown, specifically a fear of Eric Frankenstein. Over time, through the teachings of Victor Frankenstein, her personality became wiser and more developed, to the point where she could finally speak and communicate perfectly.
After the murder of the love of her life, Victor, at the hands of Eric, she could now only fear and hate him. Her peaceful personality changed drastically; she became sarcastic, bitter, angry, and violent. For two centuries, she relentlessly attacked Eric whenever he found her. She tends to be indifferent, use profanity, and enjoys drinking alcohol, acting as the muscle of the Creature Commandos. As shown, she would not act out of politeness. Whenever Bride is shown generosity, affection, or asked a personal question, she merely replies with a snark grunt.
However, Bride is not truly evil; despite her criminal history, she is still capable of caring for and helping those she cares about, as shown in flashbacks. She demonstrates a genuine desire to interact and live in society with people wherever she settles, although she has been forced to leave everything behind again due to Eric Frankenstein’s constant hunting. It is worth noting that while Bride is just as capable of violence as the rest of the Commandos and kills her aggresors with little hesitation or regret, she lacks Phosphorous' sadistic tendencies or G.I. Robot's obsession with killing enemies, likewise she only attacks others in self-defense and when protecting her allies.
Bride does not like to show her feelings to others. For example, she downplays the significance of Victor's necklace, insisting that it is not important, even though flashbacks reveal it as a memory she holds dearly and commotion from her first love.
Beneath her harsh exterior, Bride is actually friendly. Initially, she behaves with some disdain, especially towards Nina Mazursky, ignoring her advice and referring to her as "fish," but it is soon revealed that she genuinely cares for Nina. As seen, she protected Mazursky during the fight against the Sons of Themyscira and their leader, Circe, and even apologized for putting her in danger. By spending more time with the team, Bride was able to form genuine friendships with Nina, protecting her when she is helpless, and with Doctor Phosphorus, whose sarcastic jokes continue to irritate her.
When Bride encouraged Nina to be the one to assassinate Rostovic and it resulted in Nina instead being the one murdered, Bride was visibly devastated, knowing that her own suggestion costed Nina's life. Bride's decision to kill Rostovic after figuring out the truth of her deception was not to prevent a global conflict but simply to avenge Nina's death, and when she did, she acknowledged that Nina was her true friend and the only monster in the Commandos who was a good person.
Bride isn't shy nor ashamed about her nature as a monster, she also insisted to Mazursky that she should not see herself as a human anymore. When Flag Sr. was horrified at the sight of Weasel and Phosphorous savagely mutilating Circe, Bride was visibly pleased and simply reminded Flag that "[He] wanted monsters". Bride openly welcomed the idea of leading a second, larger iteration of the Creature Commandos, feeling more comfortable to be surrounded by fellow monsters.
Contrary to her pride in being a monster, Bride has disdain for women who are sex workers, believing they don't have respect for themselves, even openly showing disgust with the fact they get paid for sleeping with men despite being strangers.
Bride thinks very little of humans, as when asked about how she felt when ordered to kill princess Rostovic, she simply replied that it would be "one less human in the world".
Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
- Zombie Physiology: Bride is made of several different body parts sewn together, as well as various electrical equipment and life support technology. Due to her unique physiology, Bride possesses prominent paranormal capabilities and attributes.
- Superhuman Strength: Bride possesses a terrifying level of physical power, exemplified by feats like hurling Eric Frankenstein dozens of feet with a single blow, effortlessly dispatching and killing the monstrous Congorilla despite being confined, overpowering the sorceress Circe to the point of shattering multiple walls, and brutally tearing a metahuman's heart from their chest. This raw strength is further evidenced by her casual act of launching a towering pick-up truck several stories high at Circe.
- Advanced Speed: Bride is quite fast, managing to evade magical energy blasts from Circe while carrying Nina safely under her arm.
- Advanced Durability: Bride possesses high levels of durability, withstanding brutal attacks from Circe both physical and magical. She survived attacks which would kill a normal human being, such as falling from the manor's balcony or being brutally beaten down a metallic operation table.
- Superhuman Stamina: Bride's muscles produce less fatigue toxins and can exercise in better condition than the finest human athletes.
- Superhuman Agility: Bride's legs are strong enough to allow her to jump and to launch herself dozens of feet. She mostly uses this power to reach an enemy in the air, like a levitating Circe during the ambush at Frankenstein Manor. During the Ambush on the Creature Commandos, she jumped on a flying Amethyst Knight, successfully stealing his equipment.
- Electricity Resistance: As a result of being brought to life through electrical shocks, Bride's body has a much higher resistance to electricity. When she was hit by Paddy Criac's electrically-charged punch, Bride was briefly stunned for a moment but quickly absorbed the electric charge into her body to recover her strength.
- Immortality: Due to her undead physiology, Bride has not visibly aged since her creation in 1831 and has remained in the same form ever since. Despite her body being made out of different dead body parts stitched together, they do not seem to rot or deteriorate any further, therefore making Bride borderline immortal.
Abilities[]
- Expert Tactician: Bride’s cold and distant demeanor does not detract from her ability to effectively lead a team. During their second mission in Pokolistan, she demonstrated strong leadership skills by guiding the Creature Commandos and devising strategies to assassinate Princess Rostovic, including the plan to have Nina carry out the attack underwater.
- Expert Detective: Bride possesses keen observational and forensic investigation skills, demonstrated by her ability to uncover Princess Rostovic's deception through analyzing camera footage of Clayface. Her intuitive deductions proved effective, ultimately enabling her to save the world by eliminating Rostovic.
- Expert Combatant: Bride is a capable fighter due to having fought Frankenstein numerous times in their skirmishes throughout history as well as accumulating extensive combat experience by fighting in numerous conflicts like the warring era of Japan, the Wild West, as well as WWII. She has shown to be able to overwhelm Circe in a fight while smashing her through several walls, forcing the powerful sorceress to rely on her magical spells to incapacitate Bride.
- Expert Markswoman: Bride is an excellent markswoman. She managed to hit numerous Sons of Themyscira and then Circe, although she blocked them using her spells. During the ambush on the Creature Commandos upon their return in Pokolistan, she swiftly learned how to use the Amethyst Knight's gauntlets and accurately shot numerous flying assailants, helicopter pilots included. She also killed Rostovic by shooting her point-blank in the head before the latter had a chance to retaliate, thereby saving the world and averting the dark future predicted by Circe.
- Bilingualism: Bride is fluent in both Pokolistani and English.
Equipment[]
Weapons[]
- Semi-Automatic Pistols: On mission to Pokolistan, Bride used a pair of semi-automatic pistols with sleek, elongated barrels and dramatic grips against the Sons of Themyscira during the Battle at Poko Castle. She would later used her guns again during her second mission to assassinate Princess Rostovic.
- Amethyst Knight Gauntlets: During the Commandos' second visit in Pokolistan and their ambush, Bride killed a Amethyst Knight and took his laser-shooting gauntlets, killing assailants with them.
- Karambit Knife: Bride carries in the back of her belt a karambit-type of knife with curved blade and ergonomic handle to carry out discreet assassinations. She gave it to Nina Mazursky to kill Princess Rostovic, unfortunately she ended up killed by the very same blade. Bride retrieved it later.
Facilities[]
- Frankenstein Manor: Bride was created and brought to life at Victor Frankenstein's family manor, where she was raised and educated by the scientist in his laboratory. Over time, she developed a romantic relationship with Victor, which ultimately led to his murder at the hands of Eric. During the subsequent confrontation between Eric and Bride, the two accidentally set the manor ablaze before fleeing. Nearly two centuries later, Bride used Task Force M's mission in Pokolistan as an opportunity to return to the estate and retrieve the Tourmaline Necklace Victor had given her before his death. Despite the passage of time and the manor’s expanded structure, she was able to recognize every single room within the estate.
- Poko Castle: During Task Force M's mission to protect Ilana Rostovic from Circe and her forces, Bride stayed at the Royal Family's Poko Castle alongside the other Creature Commandos, accepting the princess's hospitality during their stay. However, unlike her teammates, she abandoned her post as night fell and secretly made her way to Frankenstein's Manor.
Prisons[]
- Belle Reve Correctional Center: Bride was held at Belle Reve Correctional Center for some time. She was recruited out of Belle Reve for Task Force M. As gratitude for taking down Ilana Rostovic and discovering her deceptions, Amanda Waller converted an abandoned wing within the Non-Human Division of Belle Reve into an official headquarters for the Creature Commandos to live in and for Bride to lead on future missions.

Trivia[]
- In the comics, the Bride of Frankenstein is an agent who works for S.H.A.D.E.. She is adapted from the classic movie character of the same name.
- Unlike the relationship between Bride and Frankenstein in the comics, this version references the film Bride of Frankenstein. Upon being brought to life, Bride reacts with dread and revulsion upon seeing her "husband," the monster created by Victor Frankenstein, seeing him as a threat, and rejecting him despite his insistence.
Behind the Scenes[]
- In the comics, the Bride of Frankenstein has a white hair streak. This was changed to grey in the DC Universe to avoid copyright issues with a film studio.[8]
- This version of the character has two arms instead of four as depicted in the comics, to simplify her depiction for both animation and future live-action projects.[9][10]
