The Capture of Doctor Phosphorus was a successful operation by Batman to take Doctor Phosphorus into custody.
Background[]

Doctor Phosphorus takes Rupert Thorne's position
- "From this moment forward, everything that was Rupert Thorne's now is mine. His money, his territory, his drug business, everything. Got it?"
- ―Doctor Phosphorus[src]
Following the tragic assassination of his wife and child when he failed in his deal with Rupert Thorne, Alex Sartorius was imprisoned within a nuclear chamber at Sartorius Labs, where Thorne and his gang initiated the process of nuclear fusion. Instead of killing him, Sartorius became a metahuman with skeletal physiology and radioactive powers, allowing him to exact revenge on Thorne by executing his family and gang. Due to Thorne's vacant position as one of Gotham City's top gangsters, Sartorius met with his other allies, demanding to acquire everything Thorne had once owned, a command his fellow gangsters agreed to. From then on, Sartorius founded his own gang to terrorize the city, participating in civilian murders and turf wars, before adopting the name "Doctor Phosphorus."[1]
Capture[]

Doctor Phosphorus notices Batman's presence
- "What?"
- ―Doctor Phosphorus[src]
One night, Doctor Phosphorus, accompanied by two women and his gang, went to the Ice Lounge to hold a party, terrorizing the civilians. However, Phosphorus and his subordinates began dancing extravagantly to the tune of "Wonderlust King." During the gang's celebration, the bar's lights went out, worrying both the people and Phosphorus, who was terrified by the sudden event. Suddenly, Phosphorus looked up at the ceiling, noticing the presence of the vigilante Batman, who lunged at him. They had a fight that culminated in Phosphorus's arrest and the end of his reign of terror.[1]
Aftermath[]
Following his defeat and capture at the hands of Batman, Doctor Phosphorus was imprisoned in the non-human division of Belle Reve Correctional Center in Louisiana, where he would remain captive for several years.[1] In 2023, Phosphorus was recruited by A.R.G.U.S. Director Amanda Waller to join Task Force M.[3]
