Creature Commandos is an animated American web television series based on the DC Comics team of the same name. The series is a follow-up to the first season of Peacemaker. It is the first series in the DC Universe, its first animated installment, and the first installment of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. The series is produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation and released streaming on Max.

The first season consisted of seven episodes and premiered on December 5, 2024.

Synopsis

Season One

From Executive Producer and writer James Gunn, Creature Commandos... follows Amanda Waller as she forms a black ops team out of monstrous prisoners.

Production

On January 31, 2023, James Gunn announced an animated series centered on the Creature Commandos superhero team, as part of the projects of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters in the DC Universe, also confirming that the series would contain 7 episodes.

On April 12, 2023, the voice cast for the series was announced which James Gunn confirmed on his Twitter account.

On November 2, 2023, Bobbypills Animation, who worked on the series, announced that the series would air in 2025. It also confirmed that the series would run with 7 episodes. On November 4, 2023, James Gunn clarified that this was not true.

On September 5, 2024, James Gunn revealed on social media that the series would premiere on December 5, 2024.
