Blocking[]

Administrators and, on rare occasions, the Fandom Staff can block a user from editing if they are engaging in trolling, spamming, or vandalism. The length of the block will depend on how serious the wiki action was. If the blocked user agrees to stop doing the activity, the block can also be lessened or lifted.

Any contribution made in good faith, even if incorrect, will not be considered vandalism, and will usually lead to the user just being notified of a specific policy.

Blocking Reasons[]

  • Vandalism: Any intentional attempt to degrade the wiki's quality.
    • Removing information from pages or leaving them blank without reason
    • Making nonsense/irrelevant pages or content
    • Adding false information
    • Spam to malicious sites
    • Editing a user's page without reason/authorization
    • Removing official warnings made by moderators or administrators from walls
  • Behavior
    • Harassment: Insults, threats, discrimination, hate speech, excessive drama, or profanity, will result in a permanent ban.
    • Disruption of the wiki's policies, whether through misleading, deliberately not following policies after being warned, depending on the severity.
    • Doxxing: Revealing other users' personal information
    • Unacceptable username that are discriminatory, insulting, or trying to impersonate someone.

Appeal[]

  • To appeal a block, please contact the administrator on their wall in Community Central.
  • If you were only blocked on a specific page, there is no need to go to Community Central, contact the administrator in this wiki on their wall.

Protection[]

Protection is a tool that Admins, Content Mods, and very occasionally Fandom Staff use to prevent articles from being edited for a certain amount of time, usually due to excessive vandalism or edit wars. The purpose of every wiki is to allow as many people as possible to edit, so protections are only given in a very urgent situation.

Users can request Admins or Content Mods to protect or delete their user pages and subpages if they wish.

  • Permanent:
    • Changes on these pages are made with the support of the editor community.
      • Interface: All content related to the interface is protected by default by Fandom and can only be edited by administrators, this includes the background, logo, CSS design, JS imports, the navigation bar among others.
      • Main Page: This is as a central hub for exploring the wiki's content.
      • Templates: Templates that are used around the wiki are protected due to their high usage.
  • Temporary:
    • Edit war: One of the most common reasons for protecting an article is due to a conflict of interest between 2 or more users, generally the user(s) will be asked to discuss the issue, and if it involves several users, a community consensus should be reached.
    • Vandalism: If a page suffers repeated vandalism attacks, it will be protected to be edited only by auto-confirmed users, and vandals will be blocked.

A page title can also be protected from being created as an article for the following reason:

  • A vandalism, spam, or fanon article was created repeatedly after being deleted.
