- "Is that a bald eagle?"
"He's my emotional support animal." - ―Matt and Peacemaker[src]
Eagly is the beloved pet bald eagle and sidekick of Peacemaker.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Adopted by Peacemaker[]
During his crusade for peace, Peacemaker adopted a bald eagle he named Eagly, forming a strong bond with him as he trained him to become his sidekick in his fight against crime. Smith was eventually arrested for his violent activities, spending four years in prison. After his release, Peacemaker returned to Eagly.[1]
Trip to Alaska[]
Massacre of the Nazi Lizards[]

Eagly launches an attack on the Nazi Lizards
- "Well, it's over, partner. No thanks to you. You killed one, while I took care of the rest. Not cool."
- ―Peacemaker to Eagly[src]
Eagly followed Peacemaker when he began searching for Nazi Lizards to kill. Upon finding them, Smith glared at them and threatened them not to complicate the task. He launched into a monologue about turning them into skin. This was abruptly interrupted by Eagly, who flew off to attack the Nazi lizards, frustrating Smith. The two fought valiantly against the Nazis, pecking at the tongue of one.

Eagly pecks a Nazi Lizard
However, Eagly began to scratch a lizard separately, pecking at it savagely, frustrating Smith, who reminded him that they were partners and should work together. While Eagly killed one lizard on his own, the other lizards attacked Smith, so he unsuccessfully asked his partner for help. Smith eventually broke free and killed the remaining Nazis, becoming angry with Eagly for not helping him by pointing out that he had only killed one. When Eagly chirped, Smith told him the lizard skin was all his.[1]
Kidnapped[]

Eagly chooses Alaska as a tourist destination
- "This is going to be a fun bro-mantic getaway for two."
- ―Peacemaker to Eagly[src]
After a grueling battle, the duo returned home to rest, and Smith suggested to his partner that perhaps they needed a vacation, as despite contributing to a more peaceful world, they both needed a few days of calm. Eagly used the laptop to search for a location and chose Alaska, which Smith thought was a good idea. After Smith and Eagly boarded the plane, Vigilante suddenly called Smith, worried about him not being at home, believing him to be in danger. Smith then lied to Chase, making him believe he had been kidnapped by the Controller, before abruptly cutting off the call.

Eagly is exposed to a toxic gas
Eagly glared at him, knowing that lying to Chase could cause trouble, but Smith tried to justify forgetting the meeting with Chase, remembering how annoying Chase could be over misunderstandings. Later in the flight, Smith promised Eagly it would be a fun experience when he met Matt and Margaret, a birdwatching couple who were fascinated by Eagly. When Smith raised his voice to argue with Ally, the flight attendant told him to calm down, also calling out Eagly when he began to make squeaking noises, so they both calmed down. Suddenly, a toxic gas began to spread through the plane, startling the passengers until they fainted.[1]
Ambush on the Kidnappees[]

Eagly flights off to attack the shooter
- "Eagly, get the shooter!"
- ―Peacemaker to Eagly[src]
As the passengers began to wake up from their fainting spell, they realized they were stranded in the middle of a forest, so Eagly began pecking Smith to wake him up, who was stunned to discover they were roofed over. Amidst the uncertainty, the pilot tried to get the passengers' attention and ask them to remain calm, but was suddenly shot in the face by an assassin from a tree at a distance, who began firing at the passengers. Smith quickly ordered Eagly to attack the shooter, who quickly flew at him and pulled him out of the tree, allowing Smith to grab him by the head and snap his neck, which stunned all the passengers.

Eagly and the crew learn the League of Assassins is hunting Peacemaker
Smith realized that they had been taken into the forest to be killed, and that not being safe they should seek shelter, activating his Peacemaker Suit, while Eagly flew above him. Eagly then heard some sounds in the distance, and soon enough, Smith was suddenly attacked by an assassin with a katana, so while Smith faced her, Eagly flew at the assassin to peck at her managing to remove her mask, until Smith finally defeated her. When Smith attempted to kill her, Izzy stopped him, as they needed her to know what was happening, upsetting Eagly, who crossed his wings. Smith threatened to torture her if she didn't confess, so she revealed that she worked for the League of Assassins and that they were hunting Smith, threatening to kill all the passengers.[2]
Hunt for the Kidnappees[]

Eagly rips off an assassin's face
- "Is this a face? Eagly, come on, man. That's just nasty."
- ―Peacemaker to Eagly[src]
Peacemaker forced the assassin to confess why they were hunting them in exchange for not using her as bait for Eagly, and she then revealed that they had hijacked the plane to kill them for fun, before Smith smashed her face in. However, Eagly flew into an approaching assassin, prompting Smith to yell at his peers to duck. Witnessing Margaret being riddled with arrows by the assassin, Eagly carried Matt in an attempt to save him, only to be hit by three arrows in the chest. Peacemaker then asked Eagly to follow the assassin, but he refused, frustrating Smith, but Eagly finally complied and lunged at the assassin with a bow and arrow, savagely tearing his face off.

Eagly marks a path to hide from the League of Assassins
Eagly dropped a few pieces of human face that Smith grabbed in shock, and then hanged again on Smith's shoulder. While Peacemaker argued with his fellows about devising a plan, Eagly established a safe path to the mountains that everyone followed, and without them knowing, they were being persecuted by a murderer. Smith won the murderer ambush and crush his head against a rock, just for Eagly and the others then to witness with horror how Smith was impaled in a katana by a murderer who took him by surprise.[3]
Personality[]
- "We're supposed to work together."
- ―Peacemaker to Eagly[src]
Eagly is extremely loyal to his owner Christopher Smith, who considers him his best friend and partner in his crusade for peace. As an unwavering duo, Eagly assisted Smith in multiple battles against crime. However, Eagly sometimes disobeyed Smith's orders, such as not supporting him enough against the Nazi Lizards. Eagly also provides emotional support for Smith, helping him maintain his sanity and moral boundaries, glaring at him for lying to Vigilante, knowing it could lead to trouble.
Abilities[]
- Master Hunter: Eagly is an extremely skilled and innate hunter and predator, able to catch his prey with ease, which he uses to his advantage to aid Peacemaker in his vigilante adventures. Eagly can also use his hunting skills to defend Peacemaker from attackers, primarily by gouging out their eyes. However, when they faced off against the Nazi Lizards, Eagly was only able to kill one, which disappointed Smith. Ambushed by the League of Assassins, Eagly knocked the shooter out of the tree, allowing Smith to kill him; Eagly then flew towards the katana-wielding assassin to peck at her and remove her mask. Eagly also flew at a bow-and-arrow-wielding assassin, savagely tearing off his face, impressing Smith.
