Earth-1[1] is the Prime Earth and one of the many universes in the Multiverse.
History[]
Age of Civilization[]
By the time the human race started to reside on the planet Earth, the Amazons formed their own small nation on Earth's hidden island of Themyscira.[2] At the same time, a humanoid species named Kryptonians founded an intergalactic technological society on the distant planet Krypton,[3] and the intergalactic law enforcement agency the Green Lantern Corps was formed by the Guardians of the Universe to protect the space sectors of the universe from any cosmic threats.[4]
Rise of Metahumans[]
- "3 CENTURIES AGO, the first superpowered beings, known as METAHUMANS, appeared on Earth, ushering in a new era of GODS AND MONSTERS."
- ―Superman[src]
By the 1720s, the humans began to evolve, with some individuals born with or gaining various superpowers and abilities, which are collectively called metahumans. Some of these metahumans used their powers to protect Earth as vigilantes or superheroes, but some of them also used their powers as criminals or supervillains.[3]

World War II[]
During the 20th Century, Earth experienced multiple wars, including World War II. During the war, the United States Army built a combat android called G.I. Robot, programming to kill Nazi Party soldiers under the Army. As of this, G.I. became a member of the Easy Company by 1943, in which he became famous after an ambush on the team. In 1945, the World War II ended and G.I. was declared as a hero for some decades, until he was captured after a brutal massacre by him.[5]
Superhero and Metahuman Influx[]
Age of Heroes[]
By the end of World War II, multiple vigilantes starts to reveal themselves on Earth fighting crime and evil as costumed superheroes, most notably Wildcat, Silent Knight, Black Pirate, El Diablo, Super-Chief, Sandman and Zatara. Some of them used the Hall of Justice as their headquarters, which was remembered as a mural several decades later.[3]
Formation of the Justice Gang[]
- "Welcome, Peacemaker. I'm Maxwell Lord. My company, LordTech, finances the Justice Gang."
- ―Maxwell Lord to Peacemaker[src]
Many of the superheroes, including Batman in Gotham City, became famous and well-liked figures,[6] which inspired the megacorporation LordTech to sponsor the Justice Gang, a superhero team consisting of the brilliant scientist Mister Terrific, the Green Lantern Guy Gardner and the metahuman warrior Hawkgirl.[3]
Debut of Superman[]
- "3 YEARS AGO, the baby, now grown, announced himself as SUPERMAN, the most powerful metahuman of all."
- ―Superman
In 2022, the Kryptonian refugee Kal-El revealed himself as Earth's powerful superhero Superman, and became the protector of the Delaware-based city Metropolis, frequently collaborating with the Justice Gang after befriending them.[3]
Project Starfish[]
- "They sent him overseas on the back of a VW Bug with a thousand fucking costumed clowns to fight a giant starfish."
- ―Rick Flag, Sr. to Emilia Harcourt[src]
In August 2022, A.R.G.U.S. director Amanda Waller set out a high-task operation called "Project Starfish" to the black ops team Task Force X,[2] which was meant to destroy all records of Starro the Conqueror on the Nazi-era Jotunheim laboratory. During the mission, it was revealed that Project Starfish was a United States led operation to use a intergalactic monster as a weapon, this led to a fight between the team's leader, Rick Flag, Jr. and one of his teammates, Peacemaker, this fight resulted in Flag's death, despite this the mission was completed by Task Force X as they defeated Starro.[7]
Butterfly Invasion[]
- "Dude, we're saving the planet from a fucking alien invasion!"
- ―Vigilante to Peacemaker[src]
By 2023, the alien parasitic species dubbed Butterflies arrived to Earth sometime after the destruction of their planet and infected millions of humans as hosts to prepare to start an attempted invasion. However, the colonization attempt was stopped by the A.R.G.U.S. black ops team the 11th Street Kids, when they destroyed their food source the cow during the battle at the Coverdale Ranch.[8]
