"Our ladders can't reach that far up!"
"Not to worry, chief. After all, I specialize in heights."

The Evacuation of S.T.A.R. Labs Facility was a fire that required the intervention of Superman and his partner Krypto to save two scientists and Matty the dog.

Two scientists from S.T.A.R. Labs, accompanied by their service dog, Matty, were working on the 14th floor of the facility. However, the experiment they were conducting spiraled out of control and ended in a fire that affected the entire facility, prompting the Metropolis Fire Department to rush to the labs. The scientists worked urgently to shut down the reaction as quickly as possible, resulting in an explosion that Superman heard with his super hearing, and he rushed to the scene.[1]

"I'll bring you folks down as soon we put out the fire with a little super-breath."
"Wait! My service dog, Matty, is still in there, under my desk. You've got to--"
"Matty will be fine. I brought backup."

As soon as the Metropolis Fire Department arrived at the facility, they began evacuating everyone except for the top floor, where the fire was contained, as their ladders couldn't reach. A fire truck speeding toward the labs veered off course and nearly crashed into civilians and dogs in Centennial Park, but Superman stopped it and carried it to the fireground as soon as he heard the explosion, asking Krypto to assist him there after he rescued the dogs at the park.

Upon arrival, Superman asked Chief Farrell how he could help, and when she briefed him on the situation, Superman used his X-rays to see that two scientists were trapped on the 14th floor trying to contain the experiment. Since the firefighters' ladder couldn't reach that floor, Superman told them not to worry, as heights were his specialty. Superman used his heat vision to melt the glass and rescue the scientists, who eventually managed to extinguish the reaction, but couldn't stop the fire from spreading further; and Krypto arrived to assist Superman.

Superman took the two scientists, while Krypto picked up Matty, and as they lowered them to the ground, Kal-El told them he would then use his super breath to put out the fire. When the scientist became concerned about his pup, Superman reassured him by showing him that his partner Krypto was carrying the dog, and after setting them down, the heroes used their super breath to put out the fire.[1]

While Superman and Krypto put out the fire, the scientist changed from his scientist attire to his civilian clothes. An hour later, the scientist and his dog, Matty, were taken by Superman and Krypto to Centennial Park, as the heroes wanted them to hang out after a exhausting afternoon.[1]
