"My name is Elizabeth Bates. I'm an attorney with the Freedom Project, representing John Doe."

Freedom Project is a law firm which are the legal representatives of Weasel.

History[]

Weasel Case[]

Elizabeth Bates worked as an attorney representing Weasel in the Freedom Project after he was wrongfully convicted for the Destruction of Sunnyhill School, legitimately believing her client was innocent of the child murders he was accused of. Bates befriended Weasel, visiting him regularly at Belle Reve, where she fed him fodder, and because Weasel had no known name, Bates referred to him under the pseudonym “John Doe.”

One day after A.R.G.U.S.'s refusal to let her see her client, Bates confronted John Economos for misleading her, until she saw through the window a task force returning from a mission, with Weasel on board, so Bates asked General Rick Flag, Sr. where Weasel had been taken, introducing herself as his attorney on Freedom Project, and after an argument Flag warned her that the mission was classified but allowed her to take Weasel into an interrogation cell. Bates sat down at the table with Weasel, and showed him several photos of the children he was accused of murdering, hoping to get some reaction from him. Weasel looked at the photos carefully, staring sadly at the one of the blonde girl until he tried to eat the photo and was taken away by the guards after they ran out of time.[1]
