- In the comics, Guy Gardner is the third Green Lantern of Earth, after Alan Scott and Hal Jordan. He is a member of the Green Lantern Corps assigned to Planet Earth and is well known for his brash and arrogant attitude, disliked by many of his colleagues.
Behind the Scenes[]
- Guy Gardner in the DC Universe is the first live-action incarnation of the character.
- Guy Gardner had a cameo appearance in an early draft of Green Lantern. This version was going to be a football player and potential candidate for Abin Sur's power ring.[2]
- Guy Gardner was also meant to be in the untitled Green Lantern series from HBO Max. Finn Wittrock was even cast as the character; however, the show was later scrapped and reworked into Lanterns.[3]
- Nathan Fillion first learned he got the role of Guy Gardner from James Gunn at the premiere of The Suicide Squad.[4]
