Home Box Office (HBO) is an American pay television network owned by Warner Bros. Discovery.
History[]
HBO is an American premium television network owned by Home Box Office, Inc., a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery. It primarily broadcasts theatrically released films, original television series, made-for-cable movies, documentaries, and occasional stand-up comedy and concert specials. Unlike traditional networks, HBO does not accept advertising and allows content to air unedited, providing creators with full creative autonomy. This approach enables HBO to tackle mature themes often avoided by advertiser-supported networks. HBO content airs on HBO and the streaming service HBO Max simultaneously.
