"What it is to be human if not for love?"
Eric Frankenstein to Victor Frankenstein[src]

Biology[]

"Settle yourself, Eric. We're already proceeding. I'm only sharing with you my doubts. This is what humans do."
Victor Frankenstein to Eric Frankenstein[src]

Humans are distinguished from other primates by their sparse body hair, bipedal locomotion, dexterous appendages, less developed muscles, and well-developed brains, which enables high levels of sentience, abstract reasoning, abstract thought, intelligence, language, problem-solving, imagination, creativity, science, technology and culture through shared social learning, creating various forms of technology to serve their needs.

Certain humans are either born with or gain extraordinary abilities through varying circumstances which alters their normal human physiology and grants them superpowers, these various individuals being broadly classified as metahumans. Some humans are also capable of harnessing magic and other supernatural forces to access supernatural abilities. They are morphologically and anatomically nigh identical to Kryptonians and Amazons, but most of the population lack any superhuman traits.

However, some notably possess the innate potential to develop more advanced capabilities and attributes, whether physical, mental or technological, compared to the average human without being considered genuine metahumans, such as Rick Flag Sr., Rick Flag, Jr., Batman, Robin, Mister Terrific, Booster Gold, Peacemaker, Vigilante, or Judomaster as notable examples of remarkable human prowess, allowing them to occasionally rival explicitly superpowered individuals in terms of performance, and a smaller selected minority are considered worthy of wielding the immense unfathomable cosmic power of a Power Ring bestowed by the intergalactic Green Lantern Corps, such as the chosen human Lanterns Hal Jordan, John Stewart and Guy Gardner.
