The Infiltration into Aisla MacPherson's House was a invasion staged by Eric Frankenstein and Rick Flag, Sr. into the house of Aisla MacPherson, due to her knowledge on Themyscira and Circe's supposed clairvoyant ability.
Background[]
At some point, Aisla MacPherson was murdered by the metahuman Clayface, who then impersonated her and left her corpse hidden in her upstairs office while making her home his own. Disguised as the professor, Clayface was summoned to Belle Reve Correctional Center by Amanda Waller to verify the accuracy of Circe's clairvoyant powers and her visions of the future. Under the guise of Aisla, he seemingly confirmed Circe's abilities by providing specific examples, which prompted Waller to hastily send the Creature Commandos back to Pokolistan to assassinate Ilana Rostovic in an attempt to prevent a potential dystopian future. When Rick Flag, Sr., suspicious of the situation, refused to participate, Waller appointed Bride as the new leader of the Commandos.
Determined to warn Poko Castle about the Commandos’ mission to kill the princess, Flag attempted to make a call but was ambushed at his home by Eric Frankenstein. After a brief fight caused by a misunderstanding, the two formed an alliance to uncover the truth. In return, Flag promised to help Frankenstein meet Bride.[3]
Meanwhile, Clayface, still posing as Aisla MacPherson, continued teaching at Terrebonne University. His bizarre and unprofessional behavior further fueled Flag’s suspicions, who was spying on him, leading him to infiltrate the professor’s house in search of answers.[4]
Infiltration[]
Rick Flag, Sr. and Eric Frankenstein broke into Aisla MacPherson's house to investigate, despite Frankenstein’s unease and his interpretation of bad omens around them. While Frankenstein examined the professor’s collection of antiquities, Flag discovered the real MacPherson’s dead body upstairs in her office. Determining that the "professor" who had met with him and Amanda Waller at Belle Reve the previous day was an impostor working for Circe, Flag urgently called Ilana Rostovic to warn her about the Commandos' mission to kill her. However, Frankenstein's interference in the conversation complicated matters.[4]
Shortly after the call, the impostor returned home, forcing Flag and Frankenstein to hide. As they quietly made their way downstairs, they saw Clayface sitting in the living room, playing video games. The shapeshifter casually reverted to his default monstrous form, revealing his true identity. Recognizing him and his dangerous nature, Flag signaled Frankenstein to leave discreetly, but the duo was spotted.[4]
The shapeshifter immediately attacked, slamming Flag against the wall with brutal force. In the ensuing fight, Frankenstein charged at Clayface, only to be ensnared in the monster's goo-like body. Flag attempted to shoot Clayface, but the shapeshifter regenerated instantly and turned his focus back to the general, severely beating him and breaking his spine. He then tried to suffocate Frankenstein by engulfing him in his muddy mass.[4]
In a desperate move, Eric ripped electric wires from the wall and used them to electrify both himself and Clayface. The shock defeated the shapeshifter, ending the brawl and leaving the duo battered but alive.[4]
Aftermath[]
Frankenstein held a critically wounded Rick Flag, Sr., who begged him not to die before revealing information about Bride. Before slipping into a coma, Flag made one final request: for Frankenstein to find Bride and tell her the truth.[4] Shortly afterward, Flag was rushed to the hospital, where Amanda Waller and John Economos were informed of his critical condition.[5]
Upon learning of Frankenstein’s involvement at the scene, Waller grew concerned that he might interfere with the assassination mission targeting Princess Rostovic. She immediately ordered agents to monitor the airport to prevent him from leaving the country. Unbeknownst to A.R.G.U.S., Frankenstein had already boarded a private jet bound for Pokolistan. After killing the passengers onboard, he issued a chilling warning to the pilots, forcing them to comply.[5]
