Henry Lawrence "Larry" Chin is an employee of LuthorCorp.

Biography[]

Assisting Lex Luthor[]

Duel of Metropolis[]

In May 2025, Larry Chin was among the technicians guiding Ultraman―disguised as the fictional "Hammer of Boravia"―in his duel against Superman, from the LuthorCorp tower. He celebrated with the rest of the crew the supervillain's victory over the Man of Steel before his return to the control room.[1]

Battle of Metropolis[]

Larry Chin and the LuthorCorp technicians coordinated once again Ultraman's fighting moves during his second fight against Superman, while a dimensional rift was splitting Metropolis in half. The tides turned when the Kryptonian dog, Krypto, began attacking the drones Luthor was using to anticipate his enemy's moves. Larry called out each drone's destruction with increasing urgency, much to the irritation of his colleague, Dean Farr.

Following PlanetWatch's defeat, Larry and the other LuthorCorp personnel attempted to flee the dimensional portal with Luthor. Their escape was thwarted by Superman, Krypto, and Mister Terrific―who ultimately closed the rift. After Luthor was exposed and mauled by Krypto, Larry and the rest of the technicians were arrested for their complicity and sent to prison.[1]

Trivia[]

  • In the comics, Larry Chin was a mild-mannered LexCorp employee who was transformed into the cybernetically enhanced supervillain “Combattor” (also known as Synapse) by Lex Luthor.
