Biography[]

Butterfly Invasion[]

Larry Fitzgibbon, along with his partner, Sophie Song, and accompanied by the Evergreen Police Department, responded to an apartment complex following an explosion in the parking lot to investigate the murder of Annie Sturphausen. Since a car found at the apartment was registered to Auggie Smith, Song and Fitzgibbon went to his home to question him, but he refused to answer. Song and Fitzgibbon soon gathered enough evidence to arrest Auggie Smith and take him to prison.[1]

When Auggie Smith learned from his son Chris that Peacemaker's coworkers had framed him, he went to Detectives Fitzgibbon and Song to tell them and demanded that they run his fingerprints. The duo, with the help of Peggy Sacks, ran the evidence for Smith's fingerprints and discovered they were not his. As the new Captain Caspar Locke was blocking the process, Fitzgibbon accompanied Song to see her uncle, Judge William Judy, to obtain an arrest warrant for Smith.[2]

With the warrant, the duo managed to get Auggie Smith released from jail, and Smith mocked Song with a racial slur, prompting Song to wittily return the insult. However, Larry Fitzgibbon mockingly bid Smith farewell, much to Song's disappointment, who claimed that he had ruined the moment.[3] Song and Fitzgibbon mobilized the police to arrest Chris Smith, and upon arriving at the RV, Vigilante and Peacemaker escaped through the roof. Fitzgibbon panicked when he saw his friend Song convulsing on the ground. He went to her to hug her, only to see her suddenly wake up. Unaware that his friend had been possessed by an alien butterfly, Fitgibbon expressed concern for her health, but Song simply walked away.

Searching the woods, "Song" and Fitzgibbon found Locke surrounded by the murdered bodies, who blamed the McDonald's character, Hamburglar. Upon returning to the police station, Fitzgibbon saw "Song" hacking into the system. A confused Fitzgibbon asked his friend questions, and Eek Stack Ik Ik realized that Song loved him very much, which confused Fitzgibbon. At night, "Song" appeared at the police department surrounded by several alien butterflies that began attacking both the officers and the prisoners at the station. Fitzgibbon attempted to flee but was killed by a butterfly that entered his mouth, taking his body as a host.[3]
