- "I've been hit in the head a lot and this helmet isn't fully impenetrable."
- ―Peacemaker to Eagly[src]
Peacemaker's Helmets are the protective headgear used by Peacemaker to hide his identity and protect his head, and each one possesses various special functions.
History[]
Butterfly Invasion[]
- "I hesitate giving you any helmet, as big a simp as you turned out to be."
- ―Auggie Smith to Chris Smith[src]
During his crusade for peace, Christopher Smith kept his Peacemaker helmets in the Quantum Unfolding Chamber at his father Auggie Smith's house, each with its own unique ability activated by voice command. Upon his return from prison, Auggie took Christopher to the QUC to collect his various customized helmets. Smith took the Sonic Boom helmet which he later used to kill Annie Sturphausen in self-defense.[1] Smith later visited his father again only to find out he had been arrested but also took the chance to steal the rest of the helmets.[2]
When Auggie was released from prison and became the White Dragon again, he used the tracking devices on all the Peacemaker helmets to find and ambush Peacemaker. Once Chris realized that he was being tracked, he was forced to throw away all the rest of the helmets. The helmets were later retrieved after White Dragon was defeated.[3]
The 11th Street Kids planned to sneak the Sonic Boom helmet into the barn where the Cow was being kept and detonate it multiple times to destroy the ranch. John Economos infiltrated the ranch by posing as a Butterfly, though he was discovered after leaving the helmet inside the Cow's cavern. The helmet, however, was in a position to detonate four sonic blasts, leveling the barn and halting the butterflies' teleportation process. Peacemaker then raided the basement where The Cow was contained, while Adebayo charged in with the Human Torpedo helmet intending to help. After activation by Peacemaker, Adebayo was torpedoed into the Cow, killing it.[4]
Alternate Universe Versions[]
Pokolistani Conquest[]
In an alternate future, Peacemaker wore his helmet while combatting the Amethyst Knights. However, he was killed in the conflict and his helmet ended up blood splattered.[5]
Peacemaker Kidnapped[]
In his crusade for peace, Chris Smith took his suit and helmet with him to become the vigilante Peacemaker and protect Evergreen. Eventually, Smith stole the Flash Ring to store his suit and helmet, which he had to deploy while being pursued by the League of Assassins.[6]
Earth-2[]
Upon becoming the vigilante Peacemaker, Chris Smith adopted special helmets to fight crime alongside the Top Trio, including one that allowed him to launch razor-sharp stars at his enemies.[7] When Smith was accidentally killed by his alternate self, the latter began using the helmets while impersonating him, eventually being forced to leave the dimension.[8]

Trivia[]
- In Need I Say Door, Leota Adebayo claims to have believed that Auggie Smith made the helmets, to which Chris Smith said it was complicated. James Gunn addressed this, saying he knew the story behind Peacemaker's helmets and that it was hilarious, but that he couldn't include it in the season.[9]
