Priyatel Skelet is the sixth episode of the first season of Creature Commandos. The episode was written by James Gunn, and released on Max on January 2, 2025.
Synopsis[]
As Dr. Phosphorus is born of his own research, the Creature Commandos find themselves on the eve of destruction.
Plot[]

Bride of Frankenstein threatens Gyurov to cooperate
After splitting up following the ambush, the members of the Creature Commandos are declared fugitives and flee from the pursuing Pokolistani forces. Bride reunites with Nina and takes refuge in a brothel, where they encounter the workers and their procurer, Madam Gyurov. To avoid suspicion during an interrogation by Amethyst Knights, Bride threatens Gyurov into cooperating. While waiting for the coast to clear, Gyurov points out the irony in Bride despising their profession while metaphorically "selling her body" to the U.S. government for their dirty work.

Eric Frankenstein kills the private jet passengers
In the United States of America, following his encounter with Clayface, a comatose and paralyzed Rick Flag, Sr. is rushed to the hospital by Amanda Waller and John Economos. Upon learning of Eric Frankenstein's departure for Pokolistan, Waller assumes Frankenstein caused Flag's injuries and fears his interference may trigger Circe's apocalyptic vision. She orders A.R.G.U.S. agents to monitor the local airport, unaware that Frankenstein has already boarded a private jet. After killing the passengers, he forces the pilots to fly him to Pokolistan. Meanwhile, after his escape, Weasel leaves for the forrest and befriends a pack of wolves, joining their company.

Doctor Phosphorus and his gang dance to a crowd
Meanwhile, Doctor Phosphorus hides from the Amethyst Knights by breaking into a house, where he befriends a young girl named Yana and reflects on his tragic past. In a flashback, Alex Sartorius is a brilliant Gotham City scientist developing a nuclear fusion treatment for cancer. Forced to fund his research through mobster Rupert Thorne, Sartorius returns home one night to find his wife Parvin and their son murdered by Thorne’s gang, who frame him for the crime. Angered that Sartorius hid from him important information regarding his tests, Thorne steals his research and shoves him into his radioactive reactor. However, Sartorius survives, transformed into a skeletal radioactive being, and takes the name Doctor Phosphorus. Seeking vengeance, he kills Thorne and his men, takes over their criminal empire, and become a sociopathic and ruthless crime lord before being taken down and arrested by Batman.

The Creature Commandos prepare to kill Ilana Rostovic
In the present, Bride and Nina rescue a sex worker from two abusive metahuman clients, earning Gyurov's respect before leaving for Poko Castle. Meanwhile, Doctor Phosphorus plays with Yana, briefly recalling his past life and his late family before her shocked parents interrupt them. He asks them for directions to the castle. Elsewhere, Weasel dreams of the little girl he failed to save, mistaking her for Princess Rostovic. Determined to find her, he leaves his newfound wolf pack behind. Frankenstein, meanwhile, lands in Pokolistan. On their respective journeys to the castle, the scattered Commandos reunite, determined to bring an end to their mission.

Trivia[]
- The title of the episode, directly translated from Bulgarian, means "Friend Skeleton."
- Rupert Thorne's playful interaction with food in front of his family before their murder is a reference to Charlie Chaplin's iconic 'Dance of the Rolls' scene from the silent film The Gold Rush, where Chaplin's character, The Lone Prospector, performs a similar act.
