The Quantum Unfolding Chamber, also known as the QUC, is an extradimensional space used by various beings from throughout the Multiverse who use it as a storage area.

History

Found by the Smiths

Chris Smith and his family discover the dimensional door

In the 1990s, Chris, Keith, and Auggie Smith went to hunting trip into the woods of Evergreen, where they encountered an alien creature. Despite Keith's protests, Auggie shoots the being and Chris found a strange object in the alien's possession. While examining the area, they also discovered a mysterious portal leading to an extradimensional space, later known as the "Quantum Unfolding Chamber". The alien's object was capable of opening and relocating the portal's entrance, so Auggie stole it and reconnected the portal to a doorway within their home.

At twelve years old, Chris Smith from Earth-2 entered the Quantum Unfolding Chamber and went eight doors away from his, where he found a collection of imps. The imps attacked Smith, returned to his own universe for the family to defeat the imps together.

Auggie Smith kept the Quantum Unfolding Chamber in his home, which he used to store his props during his time as the White Dragon. After Christopher Smith returned from prison, Auggie took him to the QUC to collect his various customized helmets.

After killing Royland Goff and his family, Christopher Smith returned to the QUC to collect more helmets, seeing the White Dragon suit. Adrian Chase burst into the room, much to Smith's dismay. As part of his personal revenge against Peacemaker, Auggie Smith went to retrieve his White Dragon Armor from the QUC.

Chris Smith lets Eagly in to fly

Chris Smith moved into his father's house following the latter's death, gaining access to the Quantum Unfolding Chamber. and occasionally allowing his pet, Eagly, to fly around inside when it was too cold to let him out. In January 2025, Smith brought Eagly, into the Quantum Unfolding Chamber to let him fly. While Eagly flew, a Kyphotic Alien entered the space to dispose of a creature. Smith attempted to greet the alien, who disregarded Smith. Early got lost and found a door similar to the one to Smith's house, believing it to belong to Smith. Looking for Eagly, Smith discovered the door and opened it, discovering an alternate universe in which the Top Trio were revered as heroes. Smith saw that an alternate version of his father was among the Top Trio, leading him to panic and rush back into the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, bringing Eagly back to his own universe. This blip alerted A.R.G.U.S., who sent John Economos to monitor Smith.

Duel at the Smith Residence

Six months later, Chris Smith left an orgy he was hosting in his house to go through the Quantum Unfolding Chamber into Earth-2, where he discovered that the alternate universe version of his brother is alive and spent time with alternate family. A.R.G.U.S. detected the Quantum Unfolding Chamber again, leading John Economos to take a picture of Smith in front of the open door to the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, although he lied to Director Rick Flag, Sr. about the discovery.

Peacemaker of Earth-2 is killed

Smith was discovered in Earth-2 by his alternate self, who attacked him, leading to a fight. Smith rushed back into the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, but Earth-2 Smith chased after him and rocketed into Smith. They both crashed into a pillar and Earth-2 Smith began beating his alternate self. However, Smith managed to activated Earth-2 Smith's jetpack, launching him into a spike above them, resulting in Earth-2 Smith's death. Smith panicked and and began cleaning up the body, attempting to hide it in a storage unit, but the body kept falling out of its container.

Smith called for help from Adrian Chase, who arrived with the materials needed and they cut the body up, cleaning the mess left behind. Smith and Chase put the alternate Smith's body in the Kyphotic Alien's incinerator, upsetting Smith as he watched his alternate self burn. The Kyphotic Alien attempted to enter the Quantum Unfolding Chamber to incinerate more vermin, but Smith yelled at him and sent him inside.

Excursion to Earth-2

Chris Smith brings Adrian Chase to the QUC

That night, a drunken Chris Smith became jealous of his alternate self's life and decided to use the Quantum Unfolding Chamber to go to Earth-2 and text Emilia Harcourt. Needing to clean up the murder, Smith called Adrian Chase for help, encountering the Kyphotic Alien, which Chase found intriguing.

Relocated

Returning from a visit to Earth-2, Peacemaker was warned by John Economos that A.R.G.U.S. was about to raid his house. Consequently, Smith rushed to close the interdimensional device and escape with it through the back door, only to be confronted by Judomaster, from whom he successfully escaped. Smith asked Economos to distract the A.R.G.U.S. agents while he relocated the portal to a cabin in Settlers' Hills. Economos then began to obstruct the lock-hacking process, intentionally slowing things down and giving his friend time to relocate the portal.

Emilia Harcourt enters the code

When Peacemaker moved to Earth-2, he left a farewell letter for the 11th Street Kids, advising them that they could deliver the interdimensional device to A.R.G.U.S. However, Harcourt decided not to hand over the device, as they were going to bring Smith back. The team went to the Chase Residence, since A.R.G.U.S. was unaware of their secret identities, to place the interdimensional device. Upon opening the portal, the group entered the Quantum Deployment Chamber, where they watched in astonishment as the Kyphotic Alien incinerated a rat. Finding the door, Vigilante assumed the code was 261011, as it should be the same, and entered only to be shocked by the extravagance of the Smiths' alternate residence. Forced to escape due to the attack on the Smith Residence, the 11th Street Kids and Judomaster crossed into the Quantum Unfolding Chamber and exited through the basement of their house, closing the portal and handing it over to A.R.G.U.S.

Following Peacemaker's arrest and the confiscation of the interdimensional device, A.R.G.U.S. partnered with LuthorCorp technicians to launch a campaign to find an uninhabited dimension capable of supporting Earth-like life. Agents were sent to investigate through the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, wearing protective suits to explore the unknown conditions of different universes. Upon entering Candyland, Langston Fleury, Emilia Harcourt, and Kline were suddenly attacked by Imps, who managed to penetrate Kline's suit helmet and kill him.

A.R.G.U.S. agents are attacked by zombies

Despite the gruesome murder, the agents continued to be sent to explore other universes, entering a dimension containing a black hole that began to pull them in until they managed to close the door. The agents were then sent through a portal to a universe inhabited by zombies, where one agent became a zombie himself, forcing the other agents to shoot him. Eventually, Sasha Bordeaux, Emilia Harcourt, and Angler passed through a portal to Salvation, relieved to have found a planet that offered the conditions they sought. Having found the planet, Flag revealed his intention to use Salvation to imprison metahumans there due to their dangerous nature, so they could never return. Otis Berg and Sydney Happersen then devised a method to travel there without the QUC.

Dimensional Doorways

Earth-1		The Primary universe of Superman, Peacemaker and the Creature Commandos. This universe has witnessed the age of heroes and the rise of meta-humans all throughout the world. In 1945 the allied powers won in World War II, ushering in a new age of freedom. This world is protected by its most powerful superhero: Superman, and a group of popular corporate-based heroes known as the Justice Gang.
Earth-2		An alternate universe in which the United States is a fascist country after the Nazi party won the war during World War II. It is inhabited by the Top Trio, the Sons of Liberty, and A.R.G.U.S..
Kyphotic Alien's Universe		A highly advanced universe that is home to the kyphotic alien, who constantly visits the Quantum Unfolding Chamber for his own purposes. It always seems to keep to itself and always visits to incinerate an alien-like rat. The alien has been seen by Peacemaker, the 11th Street Kids and some A.R.G.U.S. agents while exploring the QUC.
Candy Land		A magical dimension with candy cane trees, cloudy skies and pink grass. This world belongs to the imps, tiny violent magical creatures that attack any trespassers that come through their door. At the age of 12, Chris Smith from Earth-2 explored the Quantum Unfolding Chamber and crossed into the 5th dimensional doorway. He attempted to grab one of the giant peppermint sticks and instead found himself attacked by over 30 magical imps. They chased Chris back into his own universe, where they were defeated by the Top Trio.
Black Hole Universe		This particular doorway leads to the opening of a black hole. The gravitational force is so strong that it can instantly suck in any individual who casually opens this doorway. It was visited by Judomaster and some A.R.G.U.S. agents, who luckily managed to survive being pulled into the black hole due to being tethered to one another. The doorway was later labeled a potential location for Salvation.
Hieronymus Bosch Planet		A doorway to an apocalyptic dimension with skull shaped creatures with spider like limbs. This universe appears to have had signs of life before it was turned into an apocalyptic wasteland.
Zombie Dimesion		This specific universe seemed to have flourished at some point until a zombie based infection was spread throughout the entire world. The undead seem to aimlessly wonder this world looking consume flesh. The doorway seems to lead to the middle of the woods.
Salvation		A seemingly uninhabited planet that is secretly teeming with dangerous creatures. On Earth-1 the government organization known as A.R.G.U.S. discovered this dimension and plan to use it as a dimensional prison for any future metahuman criminals. The anti-hero known as Peacemaker was abandoned here by Rick Flag Sr. out of revenge for the death of his son, Rick Flag, Jr.

• The Quantum Unfolding Storage Area was created for the first season of Peacemaker. Discovered by Auggie Smith, the QUC is essentially an extradimensional pocket universe hidden within his suburban home. When activated via a keypad in his closet/bookshelf, it unfolds an immensely spacious chamber outside normal space. Inside, Auggie stores high‑tech weapons and dozens of Peacemaker's Helmets, far beyond what conventional physics would allow. As Peacemaker explains in Season 1, it's a "quantum unfolding storage area" that "leads to a dimensional nodule outside of normal space".
• The passcode to enter the QUC is 2-6-1-0-1-1.
  • The code is an homage to Robert Patrick, the actor who portrays Auggie Smith, as Patrick is the 1st Charter Holder of the 101st chapter of the Booze Fighters Motorcycle Club, being BF1011. Since B is the second letter of the alphabet, and F is the sixth letter, that would then become 2-6-1-0-1-1.
