Detective Sophie Song was a detective at the Evergreen Police Department.
Biography[]
Sophie Song, along with her partner, Larry Fitzgibbon, accompanied by the Evergreen Police Department, went to an apartment complex after an explosion in the parking lot. Since a car found at the apartment was registered to Auggie Smith, Song and Fitzgibbon visited his home to question him. However, upon knocking on his door, Auggie called Song "chopsticks" as a racial slur before closing the door, to which Song called him "fork" in response. After analyzing evidence, Song and Fitzgibbon soon gathered enough evidence to arrest Auggie Smith and take him to prison.[1]
When Auggie Smith learned from his son, Chris, that he had been framed by Peacemaker's coworkers, he went to Detective Song to tell her, demanding that his fingerprints be tested. Song and Larry Fitzgibbon, assisted by Officer Peggy Sacks, tied up the loose ends to obtain Smith's fingerprints, only to discover that they were not his own. Song then sought to inform Captain Miele of the investigation, only to learn that Caspar Locke was the new Captain, who demoted her and tried to convince her to abandon her investigation. As Locke was blocking the process, Song went to see her uncle, Judge William Judy, to obtain an arrest warrant for Smith,[2] who agreed to give it to her.
With the warrant, Song managed to get Auggie Smith released from jail. Smith mocked her with a racial slur. However, she responded by saying the slur meant a donkey pooped on its head. However, Larry Fitzgibbon mockingly bid Smith farewell, much to Song's disappointment, as she claimed he had ruined the moment for her. Song and Fitzgibbon mobilized the police to go arrest Chris Smith, arriving at his trailer, however, upon breaking into the house, Vigilante, Eagly and Peacemaker escaped through the roof, climbing the trees, where Vigilante fell, breaking a jar in which the alien Butterfly Eek Stack Ik Ik was contained, taking Song as its host, killing her as it twisted her on the ground.[3]
