Three years after Nina Mazursky's escape, rumors of a sea creature in Star City began to spread, and the news was reported on. One night, Star City News reported on a supposedly blurry photo of the creature taken by a citizen on the lake, citing rumors that animal control experts were tracking it. Edward Mazursky saw the report and identified his daughter, rushing to the scene to meet her, desperately fighting his way through the reporters. However, as he tried to evade a guard, he was overpowered and shot, horrifying Nina, who was imprisoned.[1]
