The Weasel, given the alias of John Doe by his attorney Elizabeth Bates, is an animalistic metahuman member of the Creature Commandos whose true origins remain a mystery. Wrongfully accused of murdering dozens of children at Sunnyhill School, he ended up in Belle Reve Correctional Center after failing to save the children from an accident. A former member of Task Force X, Weasel survived Project Starfish before getting enlisted into Task Force M.
On the task force's first assigned mission to protect Princess Ilana Rostovic from the villainous sorceress Circe, Weasel grew attached to the Princess and believed her to be a little girl he failed to save. After being successful in defeating Circe, Weasel and the team were later forced to turn against Rostovic after receiving orders from A.R.G.U.S. to return to Pokolistan to assassinate the Princess. When Nina Mazursky attempted to kill Rostovic underwater, Weasel suffered a PTSD episode and rushed to save her, resulting in the unintended death of his teammate. Following the mission, Weasel joined a new lineup led by Bride.

Early Life[]
Destruction of Sunnyhill School[]
Weasel meets a group of children
- "Why was he in prison?"
"Uh, supposedly murdered twenty-seven children. He hasn't shown any violent tendencies since then, so I wouldn't fret." - ―Ilana Rostovic and Rick Flag, Sr.[src]
Weasel once approached Sunnyhill School, where he was approached by a group of students. A young girl offered Weasel a chocolate bar, which he happily ate. A boy then offered Weasel an apple, leading Weasel to come out from behind the bushes and eat the apple. Weasel befriended the kids, and one day played a game with them in which Weasel would attempt to get a ball as the kids threw it to each other. At one point, Weasel fell into the door to the school, knocking it open, and pushing it open. Weasel playfully fought with a girl for the ball, causing it to pop. One of the students discovered that the school was open, so they all ran inside.

Weasel eventually joined them inside and followed a ball held by one of the girls. She threw it into the boiler room and he rushed to retrieve it, sitting with it by the door. The students joined Weasel in the boiler room, and one girl pet him. Weasel then played fetch with one of the girls, when Georgie dropped an alcohol bottle right as another was playing with matches, resulting in a fire. Weasel saw the fire but continued playing, playfully tackling a girl. An old man then came into the boiler room and threatened Weasel with a shotgun, demanding he leave the kids alone. Weasel stopped, but the man fired anyway. Weasel hid behind the boiler, but the man continued firing, resulting in an oil leak. Weasel watched and got one girl to safety as the oil hit the fire, resulting in an explosion that destroyed the school.
Weasel is blamed for the children's deaths
Weasel watched one of the students draw his last breath and looked up as he saw the only survivor, the girl he had gotten to safety. Seeing her crying, Weasel jumped through the fire and hugged her. He attempted to take the girl to safety and saw two police officers looking through a window. The police officers thought Weasel was trying to hurt the girl and shot at Weasel, causing him to run through the school. Cornered by the fire, he ran down a hallway that ended with an open window, through which the police shot him, hitting him in the shoulder. Weasel recovered and ran to the door with the girl, but the police officers got in the way and shot him multiple times, forcing him to drop the girl. The police officers pinned him to the ground as the girl was crushed by falling debris. Weasel screamed for the girl as he was dragged off and placed under arrest, blamed for the deaths of the children.[1]

Weasel was convicted of killing the children and imprisoned at Belle Reve Correctional Center. He then became part of the first Task Force X strike team of the Corto Maltese mission; Project Starfish. During the trip on the Sheba to the mission, Weasel reportedly had a bad experience with his teammates. Weasel was one of the few members to survive the mission and was later recaptured again.[2]

Weasel receives electrocution
One morning while resting with his fellow non-humans at Belle Reve, Weasel was cleaning his tail as Rick Flag, Sr. and Amanda Waller watched from the monitoring enclosure, then spitting hair out of his mouth. When Waller opened the entrance to see the prisoners, Weasel along with the Bride of Frankenstein and Doctor Phosphorus charged at her; however, she used the Nano-Bomb Remote Detonator to electrocute them in order to stop them, leaving him and his fellows unconscious on the ground. Upon awakening, Weasel along with the rest of his fellows were reluctantly forced to join a task force on a mission to Pokolistan.
Weasel tries to break free
Knowing about the trouble Weasel caused during the Osprey trip on their mission to Corto Maltese, Weasel was over-tied with several belts when traveling to Pokolistan. When trying to untie himself, Weasel tweaked his belt, which caught the attention of G.I. Robot, who threatened to shoot him, suspecting him to be a Nazi. G.I. Robot was stopped by Flag, while the team discussed how Weasel had supposedly killed children and had a bad experience on the Osprey. Upon arriving at Pokolistan, Weasel was untied and together they got off the Sheba to be met by Guardsman Alexi, being taken away in armored tanks.[2]

Weasel pisses in the armored tank, causing Doctor Phosphorus to be disgusted
On the journey, Weasel began to cause a ruckus as he tried to free himself, being scolded by Rick Flag, Sr. who forced him to calm down, and then urinated next to Doctor Phosphorus, much to his displeasure. The team was then welcomed into Poko Castle, who as they walked were amazed at the magnitude of the place until they were greeted by Princess Ilana Rostovic; however, Flag Sr. made a reckless reversal, causing Guard Alexi to threaten to kill the entire team, putting them on alert when the army pointed their weapons at them, only to discover that it was a joke in bad taste, being confused by Alexi's attitude.

The team was then invited by the princess to have a snack, where upon gathering at the table, Weasel was eating a whole roast chicken, when Doctor Phosphorus threw a chicken wing, it bounced off the butler, who ran away scared to see that Weasel was going for it, eating the wing savagely. At dusk, the team went out to the courtyard, where Weasel played with the princess who threw a bone into the pond for him to go pick it up and bring it back to her. He then ran off and jumped around when the princess left with Flag to talk, biting and knocking down an accordionist who was playing music, then started licking him when he got up, making him feel uncomfortable.

At night, Weasel went to sleep;[2] however, he woke up after the noises caused by Rick Flag Sr.'s confrontation with Doctor Phosphorus, gathering at the bathroom door with Phosphorus and G.I. Robot where they saw an angry Flag threatening them with the Nano-Bomb Remote Detonator, worrying Weasel while Rostovic closed the door. While listening to Flag and Rostovic having sex, Weasel, Phosphorus and G.I. Robot saw Alexi approach them asking for Flag Sr., telling them that two of his teammates had escaped, with Weasel chirping to second Phosphorus' comments about the princess; however, Alexi insisted that it was an emergency.[3]
Rescue Mission[]

Once Rick Flag, Sr. and Ilana Rostovic finished having sex, the team alerted Flag about the escape of the Bride and Nina Mazursky, who quickly prepared himself and had them tag along, with Weasel following Flag as he got into the armored tank with Alexi to go out and find his teammates; however, Weasel did not put on his seatbelt and Alexi pedaled too hard, causing Weasel to hit the back door.[3]

Upon arriving at Frankenstein Manor, the team dropped to the ground and Flag explained the rescue plan. Once Flag gave them the signal, they ambushed the mansion, with Weasel entering by breaking a window, only to find the Bride tied to a seat with her mouth taped shut. Once they removed the tape from her mouth, Bride alerted them that Circe and her forces had escaped, confusing Weasel and Phosphorus who looked at each other, and while Flag and Bride argued, Weasel began licking a puddle, until Flag realized it was a distraction from Circe attacking the Princess, ordering the team to run to the tank to return to the castle.[5]

Upon reaching the castle gate, the team brutally ran over one of the Sons of Themyscira and quickly exited the vehicle to meet the thugs, with Weasel attacking several of them. The team ended up taking shelter under the pond as the thugs attacked them from the castle, with Weasel covering his ears in fear of the sounds of gunfire, but G.I. Robot then activated his weapons and began firing at his enemies, and as he switched to triple cannons, Flag ordered them to take cover on the ground. However, Circe blasted G.I. Robot from behind, with the team watching in concern as Circe was about to attack them, but managing to dodge her attack and seeing her fly into the window of the princess's room.

As Circe was about to cast a spell to kill Rostovic, Weasel entered the room and pushed her out the window, biting her savagely. Circe attempted to free herself by punching him, but when she tried to get up, Weasel stopped her and began slashing her from behind, causing her to scream in agony, leaving her unconscious, and with Doctor Phosphorus burning her face as she screamed in agony, which Flag watched in shock. With Circe defeated, Weasel stood up and began licking his hair, before hearing an angry Circe warn the team that they had doomed the world.[5]

After the mission was completed, the team traveled back to Belle Reve, taking Circe hostage, and Weasel and his teammates were imprisoned again. Upon getting off the plane, Weasel was playing around trying to bite a butterfly, until he was overjoyed to see Elizabeth Bates calling out to him, but when he tried to go with her he was held down by the guards; however, Bates ordered him to be released. Weasel excitedly joined Bates who gave him a kibble, and then listened to her have an argument with Rick Flag Sr., running to get another kibble when Bates threw it at him, chewing with his mouth open as he approached to listen to the argument.

When Bates asked to have a talk with Weasel after waiting for him for three days, Flag allowed her to take him to an office, with Weasel receiving another kibble from Bates. In the interrogation cell, Weasel sat at a table with Bates, where she showed him several pictures of the children he was accused of murdering, hoping to get some kind of reaction out of him; however, he just licked his tongue without paying attention to Bates, causing her frustration, so she snapped her fingers to get his attention.

Weasel then looking closely at the pictures Bates showed him, remembering the day he met the children from a bush and they gave him an apple, sadly looking at the picture of the blonde girl he tried to save, but when it gave him bad memories Weasel tried to eat the picture, spitting it out after doing chokeholds. The Belle Reve guards then arrived to warn them that they were out of time, and Bates promised to solve the truth for Weasel, before the guards took him away.[1]

At lunchtime, Weasel witnessed Congorilla and Nosferata intimidate Nina Mazursky into stealing her food, and the Bride subsequently attacked Congorilla, brutally killing him with a tray. Weasel watched the event innocently, licking the food that fell on the ground, before John Economos appeared to inform Task Force M that they had a new mission: to return to Pokolistan for a new mission, appointing the Bride as their new leader and asking them to prepare.[1]

Upon taking off, Weasel fell asleep, having nightmares of the day Sunnyhill School was destroyed, remembering when he was unable to prevent the murder of the children, before being arrested after being unfairly accused by an old man and the police of having caused the explosion. Weasel began to mutter about his nightmares, which was heard by Nina Mazursky who wondered what he was dreaming about, but Bride believed he was just dreaming about hunting squirrels, and Mazursky petted him to make him feel better.[1]
Runaway[]
Weasel and the team are misled by Alexi
Upon arriving at Pokolistan Airport, Alexi greeted the team enthusiastically, escorting the team to the armored tank to take them to Poko Castle, hearing him argue with Bride over the type of threat Rostovic was facing, before getting in and heading to the castle. After receiving a call, Alexi changed routes under the pretext of avoiding traffic, stopping at a dead end to kill time, confusing the team who were suspicious of him, with Weasel overhearing Bride and Phosphorus angrily confronting Alexi.

The team was surprised by the Amethyst Knights who pointed guns at them. After Phosphorus killed Alexi, the soldiers began firing at them, taking cover between the seats until Bride was able to open the doors of the vehicle, with each team member running in their own to hide while avoiding the gunfire. Realizing he was a fugitive, Weasel ran away into the hallways until he came across some trash cans, but upon hearing the police sirens, Weasel continued riding on all fours to hide.[6]
Joining and Leaving a Pack[]

After escaping from the Amethyst Knights and becoming separated from his teammates, Weasel fled into the nearby forest. There, he was surrounded by a pack of wolves, with their leader displaying clear hostility toward him. Initially cautious and prepared to defend himself, Weasel instead grabbed a wooden stick and began playing with it, surprising the wolves. To their astonishment, he tossed the stick toward the pack leader, who fetched it like a domesticated dog. This simple gesture earned the trust of the pack, and Weasel spent the rest of the evening joyfully playing in a nearby field with his new companions before falling asleep among them.

That night, Weasel dreamed of the little girl he had failed to save at Sunnyhill School and Princess Ilana Rostovic. Noticing their similarities, he believed them to be the same person. Awaking with a newfound determination, Weasel resolved to head to Poko Castle to find her. Though saddened to leave the still-sleeping wolves behind, he pressed onward. Along the way, he crossed paths with and reunited with the rest of Task Force M, ready to continue their mission.[7]
Preventing Rostovic's Assassination[]

The Creature Commandos infiltrated Poko Castle, with Weasel following them. After discovering through security footage—and a brief encounter with Frankenstein—that Ilana Rostovic had hired Clayface, the team sneaked into her private garden with Doctor Phosphorus’ assistance. However, Weasel immediately jeopardized their cover by attempting to join the Princess, who was swimming in her outdoor pond. The team struggled to control him while assigning Nina the task of carrying out the assassination.

As Nina approached Ilana from behind, Weasel, unable to stay hidden, jumped out of the bushes and splashed into the pond in an effort to warn the Princess, completely blowing their cover. Chaos erupted as Nina struggled to execute Ilana, while Weasel nearly drowned and had to be saved by an enraged Phosphorus, who furiously berated him. In response, Weasel bit Phosphorus’s arm, only to be thrown aside, burning his jaw in the process. Weasel helplessly witnessed Ilana kill Nina and the sudden ceasefire after Amanda Waller and Sergei revealed Circe’s deception to Bride.
Weasel and his teammates leave Poko Castle
As the remaining team members recovered at Poko Castle, Weasel was unexpectedly praised by the Amethyst Knights and Sergei for “saving” the Princess. They even promised to build a monument in his honor, much to Doctor Phosphorus’ disdain who continued to blame Weasel for Nina’s death and the mission’s failure. After Bride uncovered that Ilana was the true mastermind behind the plot and murdered her, Weasel and Phosphorus followed Bride back to the U.S.[8]

Once back at Belle Reve, Weasel resumed his habits. As a reward for "saving the world," the non-human division of the prison was completely refurbished, with a new iteration of the team, Weasel still being part of it, and when Bride arrived, Weasel was cleaning his tail.[8]
Personality[]
Weasel behaves largely like a regular weasel and appears to be somewhat bestial. Due to his ugly appearance and inability to speak, others have a tendency to assume Weasel is little more than a dumb simplistic animal; however, Weasel has demonstrated on multiple occasions to be able to understand some degree of human behavior and norms. When not agitated, Weasel largely stands with a somewhat distracted look. Weasel demonstrates enough intelligence to understand his position as part of the Creature Commandos and tell who is an ally or foe.
Weasel is easy going and quick to bond with humans when shown kindness. After being fed an apple, Weasel befriended a group of kids and played with them and tried to protect them when a farmer mistakenly assumed Weasel was attacking them. Weasel was horrified when an explosion killed most of the kids, he tried desperately to protect the only girl still alive but he was again mistaken to be attacking the children, resulting in police officers shooting him down and the girl dying. Weasel was traumatized by this experience and occasionally has nightmares about it.
When angered, Weasel has demonstrated that he is capable of being very violent, as seen when he savagely attacked Circe.

- Weasel Physiology: Weasel is an anthropomorphic weasel, possessing notable paranormal capabilities and attributes due to his unique physiology. He can move at great speeds, is very flexible, and can react quickly. Weasel also has heightened senses of smell and hearing, as well as sharp claws and teeth that can slice through human flesh or bite enemies to distract, injure, or kill them respectively.
- Superhuman Strength: Weasel exhibits exceptional physical strength, surpassing that of an average human. He demonstrates this by forcefully leaping through a window and tackling Circe to the ground, despite her natural Amazonian strength. Following this, he viciously attacks her with a combination of slashing and punching movements, ultimately overpowering her. In another instance, he playfully displays his strength by forcefully pulling a man away by the back of his shirt.
- Advanced Durability: Weasel's resilience was evident as he tackled Circe through a window, their fall causing minimal harm to him. He continued to fight despite the impact, showcasing his ability to withstand significant trauma and maintain his aggression.
- Advanced Endurance: Weasel possesses notable resistance to physical stresses compared to normal humans. During Task Force X's mission in Corto Maltese, he was able to spend a prolonged time being passed out from swallowing water and continuing to breathe.
- Advanced Speed: Weasel can move and run at speeds greater than normal humans. He took by surprise Circe and jumped at her before she could even react.
- Superhuman Agility: Weasel possesses great agility and the ability to make potent leaps. On one occasion, he demonstrated this attribute when he easily grabbed a bone thrown high in the air by Princess Ilana.
- Advanced Senses: Weasel can smell and hear far more superior than normal humans can do.
- Razor-Sharp Claws: Weasel has claws superior to those of a human that allows him to cause heavy damage to his opponents and even kill them. He used them to savagely scratch Circe's back.
- Razor-Sharp Fangs: Weasel has fangs and teeth that allow him to bite and lacerate his enemies and cause severe damage. During his brawl with Circe, his teeth helped him to maul and aggressively bite the immortal witch, although these proved ineffective at injuring Doctor Phosphorus but did cause him mild pain.

- Skilled Combatant: Despite lacking proper fighting training, the Weasel takes advantage of his advanced physical attributes to be a ferocious combatant. When going toe-to-toe with an enemy, his main assets are his fangs and claws that he uses against his foes, impressively defeating the fearsome Circe and beating the powerful witch into submission, but later found himself outmatched by Doctor Phosphorus who handily dealt with his attacks.

- In the comics, Weasel's real name is John Monroe and is a serial killer super-villain who fights Firestorm, as well as a member of the Suicide Squad.
- In the Creature Commandos, Weasel replaces Warren Griffith/Wolfpack from the original team.
- Weasel's name given by Elizabeth Bates: John Doe; its a multiple-use placeholder name that is used in the British and American legal system and aside generally in the United Kingdom and the United States when the true name of a person is unknown or is being intentionally concealed.
- However, this could also be a reference to his original name in the comics: John Monroe; as both start with John and end with oe.
