• In the comics, Zor-El was a Kryptonian scientist from the ancient Krypton and the husband of Alura In-Ze, as well as the father of Kara Zor-El, who would go on to become Supergirl. He was the younger brother of Jor-El and the uncle of Kal-El/Superman.
